Pack product according to specifications in either boxes or bags. Ensure the product is packed using the correct packaging labels and packaging materials. Ensure packaged box or bag is in good condition. Utilize Cryovac or other machines to pack product. Palletize boxes. Flip product from baskets to combos. Marinate product. Operate a grinder. General housekeeping and other duties, as assigned. What We Want From You You will need to work overtime, when necessary, including occasional Saturdays. You are required to wear all personal protective equipment. You must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and push up to 60 pounds depending on specific function being performed. Salary dependent on qualifications. The City of Des Plaines is seeking highly motivated and qualified applicants to be the next part-time Mechanic Helper in the Public Works Department. This position works up to 19 hours per week, Monday through Friday performing preventative maintenance, testing and repairs to automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, tractors, police squads, fire trucks and other related equipment. Typical Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. A high school diploma or GED is required along with mechanical aptitude, willingness and ability to follow instructions, report to work on-time and exercise good judgment and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
