NATURE OF WORK
This is heavy manual labor in the collection and disposal of refuse and recyclable material, including yard trash. Employees in this class perform routine work as part of a crew in collecting garbage, refuse, recyclables, yard trash and other waste materials, and in transporting them to the designated disposal and recycling locations. Work is characterized by the necessity for considerable physical exertion and by close daily contact with unpleasant materials. Employees are expected to work out-of-doors regardless of weather. All work is closely supervised by the truck driver in charge of the crew
ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS
Performs waste, recyclable, and yard trash pickup at garbage disposal areas of commercial, residential, and other designated locations. Performs curbside pickup in residential areas. Uses pitchforks, shovels, and similar hand tools to pick up general refuse, garbage, recyclables, trash, and yard trash from curbside and other areas as instructed. Rides with truck to disposal locations and/or recycling centers; assists truck operator and disposal personnel in off-loading. Assists truck driver in fueling and checking all fluid levels of assigned truck, including spares; cleans out trucks, including cab interior, daily, upon route completion. Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Ability and willingness to work with unpleasant waste materials. Ability to use simple hand tools. Sufficient physical strength and ability to lift, move, and carry very heavy objects. Willingness to work under all conditions of weather.

The Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the M2/M3, A2/A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, the M6 Bradley Linebacker Air Defense Vehicle, and the M-7 Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle. **Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot minor technical issues and document problems.
+ Develop procedures and communicate recommended corrective actions to customers.
+ Assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling required personnel and equipment for assigned field service projects.
+ Analyze system deficiencies and provide input for recommended design changes to engineering.
+ Assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair products to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
+ Resolve sensitive field service issues such as scheduling conflicts and funding concerns with customers.
+ Conduct pre-overhaul inspections and prepare discrepancy reports.
+ Serve as the point of contact with customers, suppliers, and division management regarding schedules, technical issues, and administrative matters.
+ Maintain configuration control databases and manage logistical functions for assigned field service projects.
**Essential Skills**
+ **Basic mechanical experience.**
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
+ Experience in engine repair and tune-ups.
+ Ability to repair and replace body panels, fenders, power packs, weapons systems, and radiators.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
+ Ability to work in an outside environment on a daily basis.
+ 2+ years of mechanic experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior military experience preferred.
+ Bradley and heavy equipment experience preferred.
+ 91M Bradley Systems Maintainer certification preferred.
+ 91H Tracked Vehicle Mechanic certification preferred.
