GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies.
Acquires tools needed for daily operations
Measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
Bolts, nails, aligns, and blocks up under forms.
Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
Levels earth to fine grade specifications.
Mixes concrete.
Smooths and finishes freshly poured cement or concrete.
Positions, joins, aligns, and seals pipe sections.
Erects scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
Paving Duties:
Assists with pre-run markings
Uses a paving lute to fine grade before roller man compacts
Operates vibratory plate as needed
Shovels asphalt as required
Direct traffic around work area as required
Pipe Duties:
Gets tools needed for daily operations
Gets job set up for daily function such as setting up a pipe laser
Operates a Wacker and jumping jack to perform backfilling duties
Uses cut saws to make pipe proper length
Preps pipe for connection before pipe gets lowered
Shoots grades and checks grades using laser or conventional methods
Performs connection of pipe work
Responsible for checking for proper pipe slope
Preps structures for installation

Qualifications

Duties/Responsibilities:
Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color and consistency by applying knowledge of proper company standards as instructed and applicable for in process systems.
Complete block checks, remove any defective pieces from pallet or board and replace defective pieces with quality pieces. These tasks vary by line and by product and process that the General Laborer is assigned to.
Complete packaging, by adding packaging materials, top sheet, labels, and final QC on the skid of finished product before sent to the yard before final transport.
All products must be packaged neatly and securely
Assist Machine operators and many other variable processes IE: pallet repair, general Maintenance helper, Yard general support, completing processes as directed.
Follow established guideline for policy and procedure to ensure QA Standards are met or exceeded.
Maintain a clean workstation and assist with plant clean up
Wear personal protective equipment, and ensures behaviors are Safe.
Follow companies proper lock out tag out and safety procedures.
