Key job task include: coordinating raw material supply to the Pulper Room process by following configuration documents, weighing, loading, and mixing raw materials according to standard operating procedures. He/she should become familiar with the operation of the distributed control system for the work area. The Pulper Helper position is guided by the Pulper Operator who is responsible for Pulper Room, wastewater treatment operations, and raw materials.

Read, interpret and perform the following job activities according to procedure:
Meet with relief for turn-over communications regarding equipment status and run conditions
Verify chemical levels during the shift and change totes/drums as required
Maintain and continuously monitor wastewater treatment equipment operations
Empty hoppers from the clarifier and screw press system
Complete a forklift pre-operation inspection
Raw Material Preparation
Ensure a minimum of (1) pulper load for the next batch is ready to go at all times
Ensure a minimum of (2) pulper loads have been prepared and staged at all times
Only open what is required to complete the scheduled run - stretch wrap any remaining material and return to the raw material warehouse
Breakdown and load cardboard into recycle stand, band and remove once “Full” mark is reached
The Pulper Helper must perform confined space entry procedures as an entrant and an attendant during the course of their duties.
Ensure all equipment and floors areas are cleaned (washed downs, swept and waste removed)
Properly completes all other job duties, document reporting, training or temporary assignments as required.
Able to safely and competently operate mobile equipment such as forklift, sweepers, power washers, and scissor lift
Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
Must be able to work extended hours when required
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
Intermediate math skills
Intermediate computer skills
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Operate a forklift
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Progressive experience in an industrial operations environment
Professional interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work with limited direction and use independent thinking
Possess a sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently
