Seasonal employees in this position will be reporting to the facility located at 2140 Pioneer Road, Red Wing, MN, and will be working outdoors in various locations throughout the county. Engineering Daily duties may include but are not limited to: construction surveying and staking, drafting, assisting with construction inspection, calculating quantities, creating spreadsheets, assisting with bridge safety inspections, reviewing construction plans, and other projects as assigned. Seasonal employees in this position will report to the Red Wing shop. During construction, employees will be required to work hours outside of their normal schedule. Administration/Accounting Daily duties may include but are not limited to: first point of contact for callers and visitors, data entry, website maintenance, general clerical duties, and special projects as assigned. Seasonal employees in this position will be working primarily in the Red Wing Public Works office building. Recycling Center Daily duties may include but are not limited to: sorting and processing recyclable materials, forklift operation, assisting with household hazardous waste collections, shop cleaning, grounds maintenance, and painting. Forklift training and certification will be provided. Regular work hours are from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday; this schedule is subject to change. Employees may be asked to work some hours beyond the normal 8-hour day. During HHW collections, employees will be required to work hours outside of their normal schedule. Seasonal employees in this position will be reporting to and working primarily at the Recycling Center located at 3745 Hwy 61, Red Wing, MN. A valid driver's license is required for all positions.
