Under direction, the Changeover Laborer will set-up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibit halls and arena for various events. This is a Union position. * Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture, etc. * Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers, glass and related equipment * Install various sporting equipment as required * Installs ice for related events (both indoors and outdoors as needed) * Perform work in a safe manner at all times, notifying the Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents and any problems or damagers to facility or equipment * Operate walkie-talkie radio devices when required * Assist as needed/required to clear snow & ice from around the facility & the outdoor skating rink if/when needed (ability to safely & effectively use snow blowers when doing these tasks) SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
