The Production Associate assists the production crew with the forging of steel billets into finished parts in a 24-hour production environment, and follows and maintains quality standards throughout the process. This position also maintains safe work practices and standard work procedures to ensure production is run as safely and efficiently as possible. The production helper will work closely with multiple personnel including machine operators, supervisors, and quality control in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Serve food to customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining area, and food service equipment. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment as needed. Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, including proper food handling and storage procedures. This includes: General sweeping and vacuuming of production areas to remove product buildup on the floors, equipment and surrounding areas. Removal of trash, waste and recycle before shift end and as needed throughout shift or when instructed by the supervisor or management. Any specific cleaning tasks as requested by the supervisor or management Staging materials as needed throughout the shift. This also includes staging all materials for the next shift. Relieving other positions during breaks, lunches or in times of need per supervisor or management request. Ensuring the washroom is clean, organized and free from buildup throughout shift and before end of shift.
