Position Summary:
Laborers work under the direction of crew leads, foreman or superintendents performing physical activities in support of completing construction work.
This position is for our Utah location.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Assist crew leader with construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work
Follow and adhere to Harrison Western safety procedures and techniques
Keep the worksite clean and safe
Follows project instructions from crew lead, foreman or superintendent
Ensure regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn
Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OHSA and MSHA
Operates hand and power tools of all types to complete daily tasks
Unloads tools, prepares site materials, sets up equipment and general job site organization
Cleans and clears debris and hazardous materials
Loads, or identify materials, machinery or tools, distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications and according to prescribed safety features
Operates heavy equipment
Performs other duties as assigned
Required skills:
2+ years construction experience either above or underground
Ability to travel extensively throughout the nation
Ability to take direction from leadership
Ability to recognize safety risks and hazards
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Work in standing, sitting or other physical positions
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
