The Greens General Laborer is a hands-on position performing mulching and landscaping work under the direction of the Superintendent and First Assistant. This position is also responsible for the safe operation of small equipment such as greens mowers, fly-mowers, weed-eaters and edgers.

JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
Must follow the direction of the project supervisor.
Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools.
Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, cementing, soldering, pressing, and threading joints.
Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
Measure and mark pipes for proper installation.
Lay out of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following plans, details, and specifications.
Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications and details.
