Summary:
Pipelayers for Fessler & Bowman will perform a variety of tasks that assist in the completion of projects. It is crucial to have the skills necessary to work as a valued team member for F&B to provide the type of service our customers have come to expect. Aid in installation of storm drain, water, & utility lines.
Load & unload tools.
Hook pipe to machine using pipe choker
Assist in setting concrete boxes & manholes. Hooking chains to boxes and guiding structures to line & grade.
Mortar opening around pipe in structures.
Mortar & brick frame & grates to grade on structures.
Set frames & grates on structures
Remove debris from structures & pour concrete inverts.
Maintain safe work practices & properly wear PPE
Use cut off saws & measuring tools to cut pipe length.
Operate walk behind & remote compaction tools
Pot hole utilities by means of shovels & post hole diggers.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with installation of either waterline, storm sewer and/or sanitary sewer.
