The Plumber reports the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance and will install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, industrial or public buildings. The Plumber reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. The Plumber will then plan install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls. These piping systems may be used to transport water, waste, gases or hot liquids. Plumbers work under the direction of the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance, in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any assigned project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all water supply network and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of buildings codes and safety. Qualifications High School graduate or High School Equivalency Diploma and one year of advanced trade school or three years experience in maintenance field required. A Journeyman Certification in Plumbing from a recognized and accredited post -secondary institution is required. Ability to work cooperatively with other trades, team building skills, analytical and problem solving skills, decision making skills, effective verbal presentation and listening communication skills, effective negotiation and mediation skills are required. Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate work responsibilities and influence individuals' efforts in the course of the work assignments. Effective written communication skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, database and Word processing programs at a highlight proficient level, stress management skills, time management skills. The Plumber must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: water distribution and waster water disposal residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Cole Technologies is seeking to hire a motivated individual to assist in our construction material testing Lab, located in lower Westchester County, NY. The ideal candidate will at a minimum have a high school diploma, good language skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to take and pass certification exams. Cole will offer on the job training and reimbursement for certification exams. Arrive on time at the Lab Check-in with Lab Manager to go over the day's work. Walk through the Lab to see if everything is in order. Ensure all previous days samples have been demolded, marked, and placed in the curing room under the proper test-date. Check Lab and machine for cleanliness. Clean and discard debris. Use green dust, broom, mops, wet/dry vacuum as needed. Bring out samples which need to be tested for the day; cover with wet burlap. Conduct pre-testing checks on samples as specified by ASTM. Clean Lab equipment and field-testing equipment. Track inventory and advise Supervisor on materials which need to be ordered for the Lab. Schedule carting company to pick up when dumpster is full. Obtain and maintain ACI Field Technician, ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, ACI Aggregate Testing Technician certificates at all times. Conduct CCRL/ AASHTO LIP/PSP performance samples testing. Cut/ Grind/ Cap samples as required. Use PPE in the Lab. Adhere to company's time and attendance policy, and other company policies. Assist driver in unloading cylinders and samples. Starting pay is $17/hour

Must be able to pass the NCCER Assessment Test for Pipefitter Skill Set and be Performance Verified.
