Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Lead Building Maintenance Tech - Plumber. This position leads and directs plumbing work within Collin County, and serves as a mentor to Building Maintenance Tech I and II positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assembling, installing, maintaining and pressure testing all pipes, fittings and fixtures, determining sources of plumbing malfunctions and completing repairs according to work orders. Installing and repairing pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, and water softeners. Installing support and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste drainage systems. Detecting necessary repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment. Responding to emergency calls, as needed. Performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. Other duties as assigned. This position must serve as an expert in the plumbing field from minor repairs to complex repairs and reconfiguration of water lines. Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Must have knowledge of plumbing codes and safety in the plumbing trade. Must have over three years of experience in building maintenance and five years of plumbing work. Must have at least six months of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Must also possess a Master Plumber License. Candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES Nightly pick up of bagged trash from each resident's doors to onsite dumpster or compactor. Be prepared to work and collect bagged trash Sundays - Thursdays. Be able to climb 3-4 story apartment buildings. Get paid to work out! Must be on time and dependable. Service starts at 8:00 pm. Work quietly and efficiently keeping noise to a minimum so not to disturb residents. Daily contact with Area Supervisor. Smartphone used to document cleared units. Must have cell phone (Smart Phone). Reliable transportation to get to the property. Ability to climb stairs and work outside in varying weather conditions. No experience required, Good attitude and we will train the right person.

Assist Lead Installers and/or Foreman or Field Supervisors with installation and service of fire detection and alarm systems, security and access control systems, and other life safety systems in new and existing buildings in all types of construction, using conduit, hangers, wires, alarm devices, and panels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Assist with installation of components that make up the low voltage systems such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts, etc. * Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, etc. * Feed or pull cables through access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, bridle rings, etc. * Check wiring, install raceway, equipment and special boxes, and assist with final connections and testing. * Mount and fasten control panels; adjust the sensitivity of devices or set addresses of devices. * Test and repair circuits and sensors by following wiring and system specifications. * Test batteries, keypad and annunciator programming, notification appliances, and security features in order to ensure proper functioning. * Establish and maintain good working relationships between co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
