Position Overview:
With a commitment to excellence, The Help Group is looking for a highly motivated and experienced VP of Business Development and Strategy to lead our growth initiatives and help shape the future of our organization. The Vice President of Business Development and Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving new program development, funding diversification and expansion of agency success. This executive leader will be responsible for leveraging existing programs & services, identifying, and developing new business opportunities, and forging strategic partnerships in the community. The ideal candidate is a visionary and results-oriented professional with a proven track record of business development and program expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Development
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
Lead efforts to expand market presence by identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities in existing and new geographic regions.
Identify and secure new business opportunities, revenue streams, and strategic relationships.
Drive all phases of business development, including research, market analysis, due diligence, proposal development, and operational plans to secure new contracts, grants, and partnerships.
Oversee the Grants team, provide direction and centralize the tracking, research, writing and submission of grants, as well as all required reports and documentation.
Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic alliances to enhance organizational impact.
Partner with the Chief Program and Strategy Officer in navigating due diligence efforts, assessing cultural, financial, operational and mission alignment.
Develop and implement integration plans that prioritize seamless transitions, staff alignment, and client experience.
Strategic Partnerships
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and community organizations, with the goal of new development and overall organizational growth.
Develop and manage the lifecycle of strategic partnerships, including identification, engagement, and continuous cultivation to enhance collaboration and expand the organization's reach.
Develop and maintain an outreach tracking database and other tools to manage business development activities effectively.
Program Development and Expansion
Identify and evaluate new program opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and strategic priorities.
Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale innovative programs that address emerging needs in the communities served.
Drive the expansion of existing programs and services, identifying areas for growth and improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
Monitor program effectiveness through performance metrics and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
Communications and Marketing
Lead the Marketing and Communications department; provide strategic direction on how to increase awareness, participation, and support for the organization's programs.
Manage media relationships and develop communication materials to promote the organization's mission and programs.
Identify key opportunities to represent the organization at industry events, engage in speaking engagements, and participate in community activities to build brand awareness, promote schools and programming and foster relationships.
Financial Management and Data Reporting
Develop budget models for new business initiatives and programs, ensuring financial stability and growth.
Monitor and report on the financial and operational performance of new and existing initiatives.
Establish key performance indicators to track and measure success.
Prepare regular reports and updates for the executive team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Non-profit leadership experience
Experience in foundation and government grants writing
Proven track record with at least 5 years in business development, program expansion, or a related leadership role.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Demonstrated ability to build and support strategic relationships.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial resources.
Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead cross functional teams.

Conduct phone screening and outreach services with assigned clients and families as required by the program's structure
Provide supportive assistance to the referred client family in the assessment strengths, protective factors and determination of needs
Actively participate in multidisciplinary team conferences, meetings
Meet with assigned clients twice per month or as needed to provide community supports, assistance with medication, (i.e., reminder calls, pharmacy calls, health insurance and resource applications including food stamps transportation, etc.), and applications for disability when warranted
Provide support to clients and families regarding education and employment, as needed, by collaborating with families' P&A multidisciplinary team including subcontractors
Assist with securing adequate living arrangements, vocational activities, schooling, supportive services, medical and mental health services
Assist clients and their families in linking with other service agencies and subcontractors, as necessary
Attend outside agency meetings with community liaisons as assigned
Collaborate with P&A's Therapist Primary Designee and the County P&A Program Coordinator regarding coordination of schedules
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field (psychology, sociology, social work, special education or human services) strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience working with at risk children and TAY-aged clients and their families
Strong social and communication skills, verbal and written to work with and within the multidisciplinary treatment team and ability to flex work schedule to accommodate client needs and P&A Program community engagement activities
Ability to collaborate with community partners and develop, coordinate and oversee supportive educational, employment, mental health and other resources in accordance with the P&A Program requirements

Qualifications
Candidates must have graduated from an APA Accredited Doctoral Program (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical, counseling, school psychology, or a related field.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three years of clinical experience and psychological assessment specializing in children and families, including one year working directly with families and in educational, milieu, or residential treatment settings.
Demonstrated expertise in administration, scoring, and integration of psychological assessments for children and adolescents with diverse diagnostic presentation is required as well as proficiency in administration and scoring of the ADOS.
Expertise in child/adolescent psychology, particularly in Autism Spectrum Disorders, is preferred.
Experience in supervising licensed psychologists, psychology practicum students, doctoral interns, or post-doctoral fellows in psychological testing or clinical practice is desirable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide supervision of students during various activities at school in the community, on public transit and on job sites.
Help interns maintain placement by providing daily job coaching and vocational skills development.
Under supervision of the Teacher Specialist and Career Counselor, maintain effective job coaching methods and vocational skills development.
Take initiative to prepare or secure necessary daily instructional materials.
Have and employ a working knowledge of each student's Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.).
Have an awareness of and adhere to job site safety procedures.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with agency staff and community business personnel.
Act as liaison between outside agencies and school. Promote and maintain good relationships with all concerned parties.
Perform only direct student service activities during the school day.
Collect and record student progress data. Utilize appropriate evaluation to provide feedback to student and progress of student to staff.
Use appropriate documentation and data collection to track student progress and ensure protection of students' rights.

Position Summary
The Director of Finance oversees day-to-day accounting operations and is responsible for timely and accurate financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting. The Director of Finance ensures that solid teams, systems, and controls are in place to support effective and efficient financial operations. The Director of Finance oversees all members of the Finance department staff.
Essential Job Functions
Manage, coordinate, and review all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and state/city reporting requirements.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including Income, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes in close partnership with the Senior Analyst.
Design and produce financial reports for various audiences, including internal department managers and the Board of Directors. Leverage business insights from the Senior Analyst.
Lead financial and contract Audits, coordinating audits responses. Manage timely filing of all required tax returns and other statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete financial records.
Participation in 403b Committee and work with T&P to manage plan and ensure ERISA compliance.
Oversee allocation methodology for shared functions into the payroll and accounting systems.
Partner with Payers on contract development, financial obligations and budget modifications. Deliver Payer reports aimed at ensuring contract compliance.
Enhance financial systems and processes for improved efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
Drive the implementation of scalable accounting systems, including enhancing the use of automation and technology. Partner with the IT team as necessary to identify and implement technology solutions.
Lead the conversion to a fully electronic filing system.
Draft, implement, and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, including data conversion from operations to Payroll to the G/L. Educate and monitor agency staff to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
As a member of the Director-level leadership team, work cross-functionally to advance the strategic plan of the agency, including actively participating in team meetings and projects designated by the Executives.
Work cross functionally to ensure senior managers/Directors have accurate financial information to manage their components of the business. Support other departments with applications and reporting for RFPs and Grants.
Interact effectively with financial vendors, including banking services and auditors, to optimize our use of their services.
Develop, mentor, and train finance team members to match the needs of a growing business. Develop goals, conduct performance appraisals, and provide guidance and feedback.
Promote a strong customer service mentality within the accounting department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expert understanding of GAAP. Thorough knowledge of legal, tax, and special accounting needs within the non-profit environment, including restricted funds and grant accounting.
Experience with county and federal government contracts and healthcare organizations.
Proven ability to hire, manage, supervise and motivate an accounting team.
Excellent communication skills to engage clearly and effectively with internal and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data to non-financial audiences.
Outstanding collaboration skills, working closely with other key leaders (Program, HR, Business Intelligence, in the organization to “co-manage” financial results.)
Ability to drive technology initiatives. Extensive experience with, and knowledge of, accounting, reporting and spreadsheet systems and software. Experience in ERP implementations and working in an automated accounting environment. Possess or develops expert knowledge of our accounting software.
Experience designing and implementing financial controls and processes
Strong planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands; manage deadlines and prioritize workloads; establish and maintain positive cooperative, and productive working relationships.
