About the team We're looking for an engineering manager to join the Vault team. Vault is one of HashiCorp's most successful product offerings, supporting secrets lifecycle management for companies of all sizes around the world, including many Fortune 500 companies. This role will support the team building the original self-managed version of Vault, which customers deploy onto their own infrastructure to manage their API keys, certificates, and more. This is primarily a people management role with limited hands-on coding opportunities. The product is available to users for free as Vault Community Edition, but our team is also focused on delivering maximum value for large-scale enterprise organizations with the paid Vault Enterprise version. About the team The Terraform Authorship team is a “center of innovation” delivering foundational improvements to Terraform that advance the state of the art of Infrastructure as Code. The Authorship team is responsible for guiding efforts across teams to drive ambitious workflow improvements across the entire Terraform product line. About the role The majority of the libraries we maintain are written in Golang and are open source or source-available, receiving contributions from a large community of users. You will help review, fix, design, prototype, and implement features and tools while ensuring stability and usability. Chief Architects serve as a senior level architects that can engage in targeted conversations with customers who are representative of their region or industry; in these conversations, a Chief Architect provides a broad view of their technical portfolio and works to identify the business and technology use cases most applicable to their geographic region.
