Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Refineries group within our Energy division. We are looking for a Specialist, Operations Associate to perform duties associated with asphalt products at our terminal located in Hardin, MT . You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Essential functions for the position are sufficient hearing, vision, speech, manual dexterity, body strength, and mobility.
Responsibilities
* Perform general labor duties throughout the plant, including, general cleanup duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, painting, and scraping, jackhammering, and soda blasting.
* Keep all work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
* Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal and the cleanup of material spills.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks including but not limited to lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms.
* Inspect in-use equipment looking for seeps and leaks of process equipment.
* Assist others in preparation to unload trucks which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses.
* Proficient with Windows-based applications and ability to complete calculations in feet, inches, and sixteenths.
* Basic knowledge of hand tools (pipe wrench, sockets, combination wrenches, hammers)
* Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
* Maintain a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. # LI-KS1

The Padlock Ranch - Conley Unit - Cowboy is part of a 2-person team involved in the day-to-day activities and care of livestock on the Conley management unit. This person is a direct report to the Conley Unit Manager, who in turn is a direct report to the Livestock Manager. The employment structure of the Conley Unit consists of the unit manager and 1 full-time cowboys. This individual will be involved in the day-to day cow work, as well as maintaining water infrastructure and fencing. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards).
GL-08:To qualify at the GL-8 level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent providing guidance to lower level correctional officers in the operation of a correctional and/or detention facility; enforcing rules and regulations governing facility security, inmate accountability and inmate conduct; and exercising sound judgement in making instantaneous decisions affecting life; well-being, civil liberties and property. Experience may have been gained in work such as serving as a lead as a police officer, mental health counselor in a residential facility; or detention officer.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The duties of a correctional officer, on any shift involves unusual mental and nervous pressure. It requires arduous physical exertion including prolonged walking, standing, and sitting while transporting, lifting of moderately heavy to light objects, restraining of offenders in emergencies and participating in escape and walk-away hunts. Incumbent must be physically capable of performing efficiently the duties of the position and be free from such defects or disease as may constitute employment hazards to themselves or others.
MAXIMUM ENTRY AGE LIMIT: The maximum entry-age for this position shall not exceed age 37, unless you have sufficient prior Federal civilian law enforcement [or firefighter, if applicable] experience or you are a preference eligible veteran. If you are a preference eligible veteran, you may be eligible for this position after your 37th birthday. You must supply a copy of your Defense Department Form 214 (DD-214) along with Standard Form 15 (if applicable) and any associated documentation in accordance with the instructions in this vacancy announcement. MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: The duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Position Description:
POSITION TITLE: Instructional, Curriculum & Assessment Coach FACILITY: Crow Agency Public School, Fort Smith Elementary School, Hardin Primary School, Hardin Intermediate School, Hardin Middle School, Hardin High School
REPORTS TO: Curriculum Director
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Instructional/Curriculum and Assessment Coach will work as a colleague with classroom teachers in the assigned building(s) and with the Curriculum Director and other coaches throughout the school district to support student learning. The Instructional/Curriculum and Assessment Coach will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about evidence-base effective instruction. In order to meet this purpose, the Instructional/Curriculum and Assessment Coach will provide personalized support that is based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers and grade-level/content groups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate willingness to assume leadership positions
Observe classroom instruction, provide constructive feedback, and demonstrate/model best practice teaching strategies in all buildings in the district
Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies that engage all students
Provide organized, individual and / or group learning opportunities for instructional staff
Demonstrate knowledge using a variety of assessment tools
Provide support in analyzing student assessment data
Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data
Assist teachers with specific instructional classroom lessons when requested
Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies
Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum
Monitor intervention programs by observing and meeting with teachers
Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products, and classroom/curriculum related technologies
Provide assistance in researching instructional and / or curriculum issues
Provide encouragement and emotional support to teachers to improve student learning
Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers
Manage time and schedule flexibility that maximizes teacher schedules and learning
Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals
Assist with development of district curriculum, instruction and assessments
Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers
Work as a team with Curriculum Director and the other Instructional/Curriculum and Assessment Coaches
Obtain advance approval of the Principal / Curriculum Director for unique activities and expenditures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Curriculum Director for the purpose of enhancing instruction

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION:
Valid Montana Teacher Certification with proper endorsement
Master's Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in evidence-based instructional practices
Proficiency with curriculum software
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program
Ability to plan and lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and school community
Ability to be flexible in scheduling and planning
Ability to effectively use technology in the instructional/learning process
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to handle stressful situations
Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and student matters
Ability the respond to change productively
Ability to handle other tasks as assigned
Ability to support the philosophy and vision of the school and the value of an Education
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and School Board policies

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
