Do you also love squirrels? Perfect. We have the job for you. Acorns is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to help bring our brand and products to life for millions of people. As part of our Creative team, you'll design, edit, scale, and concept visuals for teams across Acorns, including Marketing, Growth, Product, Education, and Social. You'll gain real-world experience designing for email, web, social media, digital ads, app store merchandising, and more. Why Squirrels? Glad You Asked. Squirrels are small but mighty. They stash away acorns for the future, one at a time, turning tiny efforts into something big. Sound familiar? It's exactly how investing works. And it's exactly why your work here matters. One day, you create a design-maybe for an email, maybe for a social ad, maybe featuring a particularly determined squirrel. Someone scrolling sees it. They click. They sign up. They start investing. At first, it's just spare change-a few cents from coffee, a few dollars here and there. But it grows. A year passes. Then five. Then ten. And one day, because of that simple decision, they have enough for a down payment on a home. Or a nest egg that gives them freedom. Or a future they never thought possible. That moment? It started with your design. At Acorns, we believe small things add up to big change-in investing, in life, and in design. If you're ready to create work that inspires real people to invest in their future (and if you don't mind seeing a lot of squirrels along the way), we'd love to have you on the team. A strong portfolio showcasing key graphic design skills and principles like layout, typography, color, the ability to work with brand and design systems, and creative ideation and thinking. Skills in illustration, such as replicating styles, is not required but a great bonus. Creativity doesn't stop at graphic design. Maybe you're into animation, photography, ceramics, painting, or even the fine art of meticulously arranging food into faces before eating it. Whatever your artistic passion, we love seeing unique talents and the energy they bring to the table. A keen eye for detail and wanting to make your work pixel perfect. An eagerness to learn and develop your design and creative thinking skills. Ability to share work to fellow creatives and stakeholders for feedback. You're always trying to put out your best work, and can self-edit until you get there. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple design projects. You're a great communicator in person, meetings, on Slack, and everywhere else. Able to clearly explain design decisions and rationale. You're a self starter who's curious, eager to learn, and willing to tackle new projects. An optimism and excitement about the potential of societal change.
