POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the general supervision of the Great Falls Clinic Hospital Respiratory Care Manager, the respiratory therapist provides services to those patients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system to include diagnostic testing, therapeutics, support, monitoring, patient assessment and patient education.
EDUCATION:
Eligibility for the position requires licensure from the State of Montana Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners and all of the required prerequisites, required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Licensure by Montana Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners, required.
Credentialing as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care, required
Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general respiratory care processes, procedures and equipment, applicable rules and regulations of Federal and State regulatory agencies as well as GFCH general and departmental policies, required.
The respiratory therapist appearance, conduct and delivery of service shall be in accordance with the above, required.
Knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement procedures and current projects, required.
