FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY:
Lead financial operations and develop strategies that align with GSS's objectives.
Collaborate with CEO and executive team to implement financial strategies that drive growth and support our mission.
Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to optimize productivity and manage costs.
Oversee multi-million dollar budget and maximize public funding opportunities.
Oversee liquidity management to ensure sufficient operating reserves.
Ensure timely submission of all accounts receivable to ensure cash flow.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.
GRANTS & COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT:
Advocate for financial needs through strategic planning.
Develop grant budgets and manage funding allocation to ensure expense coverage and compliance.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and deliver accurate and on-time reports for government funders and auditors.
Submit accurate and timely Indirect applications to federal agencies to maximize indirect funding available for each grant.
Prepare financial reports to Foundations and private funders.
Collaborate with Development Team on grant management and reconciliation of contributions.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & OPERATIONS:
Build in-house finance team, including Controller and Director of Grants Management.
Supervise Director of Administration, Controller, and Director of Grants Management.
Provide leadership to each department head in establishing and monitoring their department budget.
Manage outsourced finance services (provided by BTQ Financial and Consero Global), auditor relations, and compliance requirements.
Proactively oversee agency's audits with BTQ team.
Develop and monitor payroll allocations, indirect and administrative costs.
Manage variance meetings with BTQ.
Foster excellence and continuous improvement within the finance team.
REPORTING & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:
Deliver financial reports to Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and senior leadership.
Manage relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
Enforce financial policies to ensure departmental budget compliance.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, etc.; an MBA or MPA is strongly preferred.
CPA, CFA, or other financial certification is a plus.
Must have experience with grants management-City, State, and Federal, and with publicly funded organizations of $20M+.At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a nonprofit organization.

JOB SUMMARY: To provide referred students and families with guidance and support services. The social worker will advocate on their behalf to ensure students and their families gain access to the necessary mental health support services needed to succeed academically. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Provide crisis intervention, short-term issue resolution, and continued follow-up for youth and families
Maintain records of all individual meetings, baseline assessments, confidential correspondences, and case notes in database and/or a locked file.
Input and update program database
Make contact and referrals with other existing community resources that support the development of students and their families
Responsible for keeping track of targeted participants' progress (academic, social, and emotional) and helping them to address specific issues that might impede their academic progress.
Develop individualized educational achievement action plans for each student in the program
Work closely with outreach worker, case manager and tutor to identify targeted student needs to inform student interventions

JOB SUMMARY : This position serves as Education Coordinator for Grand Street Settlement's early childcare programs. This role supervises specialists, teachers, education consultants and coaches who are responsible for the successful operation of classrooms. The Education Coordinator plans and collaborates with other coordinators and staff in GSS's Early Childhood Services Program to ensure that outcomes are achieved for children of all abilities. For the start-up phase for 2 years this will be an evolving position. Interim roles and responsibilities will be adjusted and this position requires an individual to be flexible. Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY: As part of our Youth Services Department's vision: all Youth Services Staff will assist inpromoting growth, leadership and positive self-image in all young people at all of our Grand Street Settlement sites.
Group Leaders will promote and develop a safe and engaging learning environment for youth. Homework help, recreational activities, literacy and math lessons are integral parts of this position. Ultimately, our goal is to help students maintain academic focus while engaging in hands-on, creative learning with classmates and fellow peers.

Job Summary
Based at our overnight summer camp, the Camp Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to camp buildings, equipment, and grounds. JOB SUMMARY: The Family Worker is responsible for supporting and assisting families as they identify and meet their own goals through a family-centered case management model for developing and carrying out the programs Family Partnership Agreement. This position is responsible for maintaining family service files and intake applications at Grand Street Settlement's Early Childhood Program. The Family Advocate will also assist with the completion of the child health requirements and other required screenings and assessments while supporting the larger system of the Family Services team. The position may involve reassignment of caseload and/or center location as deemed necessary for program operations.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at minimum a Family Development credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field; Associates in Sociology or Psychology, Human Development, Early Childhood Education or related field. BA/BSW preferred.
Experience and training related to field of social or human services
Experience, training, and skills in assisting the parents of young children in advocating and decision-making for their families. Ability to develop positive relationships with children and parents

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Family and Community Partnership Coordinator, the Family Advocate shall be responsible for:
Identifying and recruiting prospective families through outreach and assisting with the enrollment process after determining eligibility. Familiarity with Head Start ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance). Supporting the program with maintaining 97% of enrollment at all times.
Family Partnerships: Manage a caseload of families, working with families on an individualized basis throughout the year to identify family goals, strengths, and necessary services and supports, and to track progress in achieving family goals (Family Partnership Agreements)
Implement Trauma Informed practices when working with families
Community Partnerships: Provide families with appropriate referrals and follow up with families, consultants and service providers on referrals
Record Keeping: Entering child and family information into the approved child tracking system database (COPA /DOE systems). Assist with collecting child health medicals and dentals along with entering health related data into COPA. Submits reports as needed and requested, such as monthly summary tracking reports. Maintaining and providing data for the annual Program Information Report (PIR). Records, monitors and follows up on referrals for support services for reporting requirements and ensures that all documentation is current in child's file and in compliance with Head Start/DOE/DOHMH regulations
Governance: Coordinate Class Committee Meetings and Site Committee Meetings and be able to present and facilitate large group discussions such as parent workshops
Service Coordination: Maintain constant contact with teaching staff in order to integrate family partnership goals with classroom efforts
Works closely with the Family Resource Center in developing services and connecting families to obtain available resources
Participate in home visits when necessary in regard to any follow-ups, attendance or routine visits

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 12pm - 3:30pm, may be modified based on program needs. This position is performance based and is also contingent on funding availability.
JOB SUMMARY: As part of our Youth Services Department's vision: all Youth Services Staff will assist in promoting growth, leadership and positive self-image in all young people at all of our Grand Street Settlement sites. Staff will promote and develop a safe and engaging learning environment for youth. Homework help, recreational activities, literacy and math lessons are integral parts of this activity. In the end, students will be able to maintain an academic focus while engaging in hands on learning with classmates and fellow peers.
In partnership with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), ExpandED Schools LIT C.R.E.W. will offer middle school students 3-5 more hours per week of engagement in literacy, and will allow students the time and opportunity they need to improve academically by building and exercising vocabulary techniques.
The Literacy Educator will participate with students in Project-Based learning, showcasing their artistic talents by using 1 of 4 creative platforms:

Job Summary
The Camp Wellness Manager is an essential member of the leadership team, ensuring that campers and staff feel emotionally supported, socially connected, and fully engaged in the camp experience. This role integrates directly into the daily rhythms of camp, actively participating in camp-wide events, outdoor adventures, and special traditions while also providing individual and group support as needed.
The Camp Wellness Manager will take a proactive, hands-on approach, interacting with campers and staff throughout the day to build relationships, anticipate challenges, and foster a culture of inclusion, empathy, and resilience.
The Wellness Manager reports to the Associate Camp Director and works closely with the Camp Program Manager and the Camp Health Director.
Responsibilities
Integration into Daily Camp Life
Be a visible and active presence throughout camp, joining meals, activities, outdoor expeditions and evening programs to build relationships with campers and staff.
Lead or co-lead team-building exercises, icebreakers, and small group discussions to strengthen camper connections.
Support unit counselors and activity leaders by modeling effective communication and positive behavioral guidance.
Camper & Staff Support
Assist in pre-camp staff training, leading sessions on behavior management, trauma-informed care, and camper well-being.
Provide drop-in support, proactive check-ins, and 1:1 or group sessions for campers needing guidance.
Facilitate restorative circles, peer mediation, and leadership groups to support relationship-building and conflict resolution.
Support staff by offering check-ins and debrief sessions on camper behavior and emotional wellness.
Crisis Response & Emotional Well-being
Monitor group dynamics and proactively engage and support to ensure situations do not escalate.
Serve as a first responder for emotional or behavioral crises, coordinating with camp leadership to ensure camper safety.
Contact parents/guardians as needed to discuss behavioral concerns, interventions, and camper progress.
Qualifications
Studies in social work, public health, creative arts therapy, psychology, or a related human services field.
At least two (2) years of clinical experience working with children, teens, and families.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships quickly.
Experience in behavior management, trauma-informed care, or crisis intervention preferred.
Previous experience working in a residential camp setting or youth development program strongly preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin) preferred.
Requirements
Ability to pass a background check, physical exam and be up to date on all required immunizations.
CPR and First Aid certification required (training available if necessary).
Ability and willingness to live on-site at camp for the full duration of the program.
