Department: MED-Mesulam Ctr Cog Neur & Alz Salary/Grade: NEX/9 Background The Northwestern University Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (NUADRC) Clinical Core study is a longitudinal, observational study. We observe and collect data on participants over a long period of time, but there is no intervention.
Participants attend annual visits with their study partners that typically last two to five hours. During these visits, we collect data that includes memory and thinking tests, brain imaging scans, and blood samples. A participant can choose to participate in brain donation at their time of death. We have participants enrolled that are experiencing healthy aging and those who suffer from dementia or Mild Cognitive Impairment.
Northwestern University is one of 37 sites in the United States funded by the National Institute on Aging. All data is de-identified and shared with a national database. There are currently over 15,000 participants in this study nationally with approximately 500 of them actively enrolled at Northwestern University. Once they enroll, most participants are referred to other research studies being led by investigators within the Mesulam Center or the greater Northwestern University scientific community.

The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease at Northwestern University is hiring a Research Study Assistant for the NUADRC Clinical Core study. The ADRC is enrolling participants to better understand cognitive aging, neurodegeneration, and dementia. At the Mesulam Center, we care deeply about advancing science and creating a safe, supportive space for our participants. Some of our healthy controls are as young as 50 and as old as 110. Many of our patients have atypical or rare forms of dementia such as primary progressive aphasia and behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia.
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for science and helping others. This individual will play a critical role in our day-to-day operations of the study including scheduling research visits, completing remote and in-person research visits, collecting and entering data, and assisting with participant recruitment and retention in community outreach. Department: MED-Ctr for Community Health Salary/Grade: NEX/9 This position will be housed in the Center for Community Health (CCH) which provides a home for a diverse array of academic investigators, community partners, and staff members, who are all dedicated to promoting health through the conduct and dissemination of community-engaged research. As a center with a presence in the both the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) and Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS), CCH provides community and stakeholder engagement infrastructure across the research spectrum.
This position will be with the Mothers and Babies (MB) Program in the Center for Community Health. Mothers and Babies is a cognitive behavioral therapy-based intervention that aims to prevent postpartum depression among predominately low-income racial/ethnic minority women. This position will support multiple research studies within the Mothers and Babies Program, including a project focused on addressing gestational diabetes during pregnancy and postpartum. Main responsibilities will include participant outreach (including recruitment, screening, enrollment, and data collection); documenting outreach and organizing collected data; and assisting with mailings and participant remuneration.
Performs biomedical &/or social-behavioral research by administering tests &/or questionnaires following protocols; collecting, compiling, tabulating &/or processing responses; gathering information; &/or assisting in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports. Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).

The Early Math Collaborative at Erikson Institute is seeking to fill several part-time Research Assistant (RA) positions to assist with rating the quality of math instruction in preschool classrooms. Work on the project is expected to span from March 2025 through May 2025. All work on the project will occur online, so applicants outside of the Chicago area are encouraged to apply. RAs will report to the Assistant Director of Research.
Primary Duties:
RAs will be trained to use an observation protocol to make quality ratings of math teaching on video-recorded preschool math activities. This includes the following activities:
Participate in a paid, 5-day, 15-hour online training on observing and evaluating preschool math activities, using the Evaluating Quality Interactions in Preschool - Math (EQUIP-M).
Pass the EQUIP-M rater certification.
Watch video-recorded math activities, assign EQUIP-M scores to videos, and enter scores into an online database.
Prepare for and attend weekly, online team meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or other related field.
Current CITI Human Subjects Research certification (this certification can be obtained after hire).
Prior experience conducting standardized observation in school settings (e.g., CLASS, MQI).
Prior experience teaching preschool and/or elementary school is preferred.
Prior experience supporting/training and/or evaluating teachers is preferred.
Access to a computer and high-speed internet.

Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the women's tennis program at North Park University.
Analyze performance and instruct athletes in tennis techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
Assist with all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliant recruiting.
Execute practice and match planning/evaluation, including skill development strategies and lineup preparation.
Ensure a commitment to the academic success of tennis student-athletes, including monitoring academic performance, attendance, and social behavior.
Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
Manage equipment usage.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Tennis Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree is required.
Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program.
Applicant must be able to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e. frequent nights and weekends).
Coaching or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of tennis at the collegiate level are required.
Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
A valid driver's license is required.
