Primary Duties
1. Provides leadership, direction and viewed as an expert in knowledge of measurement fundamentals, technologies, design and applications.
2. Manages major or complex meter projects and develops conceptual design, cost estimates, project set up and forecasting and project scope.
3. Provides technical measurement oversight to engineering in city gate/ town border station meter and regulating station design, large interconnects with 3rd parties and reviews and approves measurement station drawings.
4. Responsible for review of designs prepared by outside engineering firms and non-affiliated third parties to ensure compliance with project scope and contract requirements.
5. Responsible for project closing and accurate posting of regulatory compliance records, as-built drawings, financial and other closing information.
6. Responsible for large high-pressure ultrasonic meters diagnostics daily monitoring through measurement analytics software. Analyzes and responds to alerts and partners with the vendor and MIC technicians for resolution.
7. Instructs or assists in instruction and development of measurement related courses at Company training center as well as provides hands on training to field operations.
8. Responsible for managing and executing high-pressure ultrasonic and orifice meter tube cleaning activities.
9. Manages, monitors and prepares monthly reports and graphs utilizing various software programs for Lost and Unaccounted for (L&U) volumes for company town and high-pressure pipeline facilities. Coordinates with field personnel in the development of plans for resolution to reduce and/or recover L&U.
10. Develops testing, maintenance and design standards and procedures related to gas measurement metering and equipment.
11. Develops and coordinates schedules for testing, inspecting, maintaining or upgrading large volume meter and regulator stations in accordance with established Company goals and/or Federal and state regulations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree and four years of measurement, project management, or related industry experience; or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Communication Skills:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus. Excellent presentation skills. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customer to obtain and/or provide technical explanations. Communicates with all levels of the organization.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analyzes involving algebraic, ratios, percentages and/or simple statistical methods. Basic financial acumen including the ability to run reports in various company systems and analyze data.
Computer Skills:
Requires a working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and graphics including field software related to gas measurement.
Work Conditions:
This position will work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
Other Requirements:
Requires the acute sense of sight and hearing (corrected or uncorrected) and strong sense of smell.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum qualifications include a masters or doctorate degree in Curriculum & Instruction or Education with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Curriculum and Instruction or a field in Education. Ability to prepare and engage students in the necessary teacher preparation skills as well as test taking preparation and strategies related to certification examinations.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
An earned doctorate degree in Curriculum & Instruction or Education with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Curriculum and Instruction of a field in Education. Prior college teaching experience at the college level with experience teaching through Canvas or another Learning Management System. Three years of K-12 teaching experience in Texas public schools and appropriate professional certifications and/or licensure are a plus.
