We are adding to our team, and are seeking a Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety to join our team in Glasgow, Kentucky. The {ROLE} summary and purpose: The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will oversee and implement environmental, health, and safety programs within our food ingredient manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability among employees. Primary Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To: Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation to regulatory agencies. Ensure Site maintains continuous “audit ready” state of compliance with company and governmental HSE Standards Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain safety training programs for all employees. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Owns the overall site Contractor Safety program to reduce risk associated with construction and trade contactor activity. Ensures project managers are accountable for proper management of contactors. Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of incidents and prepare reports for management. Oversee W/C program, experience, proactive Environmental Management: Oversee waste management, recycling programs, and energy efficiency initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor environmental impact and ensure sustainable practices in manufacturing processes. Accountable for the execution of all site environmental compliance programs, including air, stormwater, water, spill control, and wastewater. Ensures all testing required by company standards are met on time. Employee Engagement: Foster a safety-first culture by promoting employee involvement in EHS initiatives. Provide ongoing communication and training to employees about EHS policies and procedures. Policy Development: Develop and update EHS policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with management to integrate EHS objectives into business strategies. Team Leadership: Lead facility safety teams, providing education, guidance and support in their roles. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote a comprehensive EHS approach. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Previous experience with wastewater regulations Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
