The Field Service Representative II (FSR) will troubleshoot and repair tower infrastructure including the steel and tower components, Sensors (radars, cameras, thermal imagers, etc.), power systems (generator, solar, hybrid) and communications equipment (Land Mobile Radio, network, microwave). The FSR will perform troubleshooting, testing, equipment replacement and configuration in support of maintenance to towers, foundations, cameras, microwave systems, transmission lines, shelters, solar systems and communication towers up to 500' in height. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal oversight and willing to follow directions and adhere to and closely follow corporate, project, safety, construction, and tower climbing standards. The work spans field services in all weather conditions day or night with occasional assignments to the warehouse and other duties. June 30th Start date. Summary: Craig Technologies has an opening for a Trajectory Operations and Planning Officer (TOPO) at Johnson Space Center, TX. This position is responsible to processes International Space Station (ISS) orbit determination data (state vectors) from multiple sources daily for the ISS, Visiting Vehicles, Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS), and orbital debris. The TOPO console coordinates and monitors the execution of all ISS translation maneuvers, performing debris avoidance maneuver planning as required. In the office environment, they generate the data used to predict the location of the ISS for long term planning and short term execution, including altitude strategy. TOPO operations support includes the development and maintenance of operations products such as flight rules, console procedures, and technical references. Detailed Description: The TOPO employee will be required to support or lead certain technical analyses relating to trajectory operations, as appropriate. Once certified as a TOPO, the candidate will be expected to participate in the training of other TOPO candidates. The TOPO employee would also be responsible for coordinating with the ISS Program, International Partners, and commercial vendors on new vehicle design and operations. The employee's primary job responsibility will be to attain certification as a TOPO and support missions and training simulations from the TOPO console. During missions and training simulations, the employee must be able to support a flexible work week (shift work) as early morning, late evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required to support real-time mission support schedules. This position provides 24/7/365 on-call support with 24/7 support during dynamic events (ISS extravehicular activity (EVA), ISS translation maneuvers (ISS re-boosts/de-boosts), debris avoidance evaluation and maneuvers, visiting vehicle dock/undock, CubeSat deployments). As part of the flight controller certification process, the employee must be able to pass a standard flight physical conducted onsite by a NASA Flight Surgeon. When deemed necessary by the NASA Flight Surgeon, the employee may be asked to seek a specialized medical evaluation, via the employee's medical healthcare network, before concluding the flight physical process. For pre-existing or newly identified medical conditions, the employee may be asked to provide proof of a medical treatment plan to the NASA Flight Surgeon as part of the flight physical process. Education or experience with basic engineering, orbital/celestial mechanics, and spacecraft flight dynamics, real-time spacecraft trajectory system design, analysis, and/or operations is highly desired. Education or experience with Linux shell scripting, Python, or commercial off-the-shelf tools, such as Matlab, and/or FreeFlyer, is also highly desired. Knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-time operations is essential. Duties To Include: • Orion PCD Software Load Integration o Creation, coordination, and documentation of processes for use in creating, distributing, and managing Orion PCD Software Load Images o Coordinate confidential processes to receive crew personal content (eBooks, music files, etc.) for use while on deep space missions o Develop and implement a plan to procure required hardware and software necessary to accomplish the load image integration and configuration management o Participate in the creation, coordination, documentation, and execution of processes for use in the Configuration Management of the load contents o Evaluate and assess all requests for application integration onto the crew device • PCD Software Load Testing o Participate in creation of PCD Software Load Image Testing Plan Objectives o Creation and management of PCD Software Load Testing Procedures and Scripts o Capture and document testing results and report into proper reporting mechanisms • Lab Management o Support in the setup and/or configuration of hardware/software required to simulate Orion PCD onboard network environment for testing purposes o Support in the scheduling and coordination of lab for testing by users and/or set up systems to do so • Load Creation / Deployment o Creation of actual software load images for PCD o Perform loading of PCD Software Loads on devices for internal lab and flight and create procedures to do so o Provide support to stakeholders during their deployment of the load in training facilities and create procedures to do so o Implement specific PCD Windows management schemes, including local client backup methods, storage space controls, patching and hot fixes o Create efficient ways to perform PCD Software Load tasks remotely • Documentation o Create and maintain documentation for PCD Software Loads including software manifests, build records, automated reports, etc. o Review and provide comments for documentation external to team associated to project o Participate in the development/review of documents as necessary, including Work Instructions (WIs), general team/internal documents, procedures, etc. • Training o Must be willing and capable to train additional team members o Will support training facilities • Testing o Will support development and integration testing of Orion PCD Software Loads with Orion Utility Network Lab and Integrated Testing Labs in Denver, Colorado, as well as other testing facilities • Support o Will work as part of Orion Mission Evaluation Room (MER) to support the resolution of PCD related technical problems, possibly on nights and weekends, during Orion missions to support astronauts and flight controllers • Other duties as deemed necessary by the CO24 Group Lead or Orion PCD Software Project Lead • Support the Orion PCD Software Project Lead in boards, panels, and presentations • Meeting support - Participate in meetings as a representative of the ESCO Team Required Experience / Skills: • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Operating System deployment practices, such as Microsoft Deployment Tool • Knowledge of load image capture and deployment methods • Experience in implementing common network practices, including DNS / DHCP • Experience in configuring and using load image configuration management systems • Experience creating process documentation • Experience creating custom deploy scripts/batch files • Strong background in load image or software testing • Experience implementing common client IT Security practices • Must be willing/able to teach/mentor interns or new hires as necessary • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills • Must be able to coordinate with customers with a variety of backgrounds, including SMEs, astronauts, management, and developers • Must have demonstrated ability to generate valid requirements and Ops Concepts • Must possess strong organizational skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment • Knowledge, flexibility, and creativity to create a Windows client solution in a non-standard environment: no servers, internet access, AD, or group policy • Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technically related area, plus 5-10 years relevant experience Desired Experience/Skills: • Knowledge of Virtual Machines • ISS or Orion program experience is desired • Experience with Agile Development desired Travel: • Position involves occasional travel ( Craig Technologies is an EEO Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other non-job-related protected status.
