The Geologist will work alongside Senior Geologist and other mining engineers to help with coal exploration programs as assigned; tasks include the planning of drill hole locations and the design of drill sites, core logging, geological mapping, scoping roof for hazards and coal sampling. Job Objective: Help Senior Geologist with daily job duties including, traveling to drill rig sites, logging core, planning future drill hole locations, channel sampling underground, scoping holes underground for hazard maps.
