What is a gas technician and how to become one
A gas technician is in charge of making sure that appliances and systems that run on gas are working as they should. They can work with residential gas heaters, large commercial gas installations, and anything in between.
Gas technicians need to be proficient in a variety of systems that test the efficiency of a gas system, such as fuel meters and control systems. They also need to know how to repair any leaks or recalibrate a fuel meter to meet safety standards. Besides inspecting and repairing gas installations, gas technicians are also in charge of collecting and entering data that allows a company to keep track of all of its systems.
