The Role High-performance data storage systems underpin all facets of the Research platform and HPC estate here, as such, they're vital to what we do and our success. As the HPC Storage Engineering Manager you will take ownership of the strategic roadmap for our storage platforms, as well as their design and delivery. You will focus on continuous optimizations and performance enhancements of these platforms as research demands change. We are looking for a highly experienced technical manager who can drive engineering across the existing Petabyte-scale storage estate, while ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to Research and Trading platforms. CPM operates within our hybrid cloud management function, alongside: * Hardware provisioning and break/fix support * Deployment of compute resources to end users * Development of new features to meet user needs Within this function, our Infrastructure Engineering teams manage a complex, always-on on-premises cloud platform spanning multiple time zones. As an Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with other Compute leaders to provide local management and technical oversight.
