Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Move product materials around production floor. Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory. Unload product materials from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment. Adhere to documented policies and procedures defining safe and proper operation of vehicle, as well as the safety concerns of people, product, materials and facilities. Accurately complete required documentation as well as daily checklists for vehicle operation characteristics. Identify problems with job related equipment or vehicles. Ensure that material or finished product is delivered to the required destination, within the required time frame without damage to material or product. Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment. Perform daily equipment checks. Maintain the visual appearance of the vehicles, including cleaning and painting of vehicles when required. Ensure that product and/or material is transported in a safe, stable and efficient manner. Identify potential or existing non-conforming conditions or material. Collect bill of lading and verify quantities on incoming trucks. Support and adhere to required, documented and defined procedures and work instructions including, but not limited to: food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE as designated. Safely operates powered industrial equipment to accurately load, unload, pick, store, or move material throughout the facility. Counts and verifies package labels and quantities to ensure accuracy. Physical Demands: Associate is regularly required to stand (90% of day). Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling and turning.
