**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
1. Monitor and insure quality print including tape tests throughout production runs.
2. Compare and approve print quality is within specified limits of the tri-fold color range.
3. Calculate the number of parts needed to complete the order.
4. Number labels on each order in sequence, beginning where the prior shift ended. If the order uses a lot number, lot numbers change at 7am and numbering begins with one and continues in sequential order until the order is completed.
5. Place completed boxes on skids and individual parts in totes or on tray packs.
6. Place product of poor quality in a scrap box or tote. Place SCRAP labels on all scrap containers. Products made of like materials are placed in the same box.
7. Complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.
**Qualifications**
1. High school diploma / GED equivalent is preferred.
2. Must have the ability to calculate part requirements.
3. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

Working at our Madisonville Location
The GE Aerospace facility in Madisonville, KY produces a mix of more than 800 unique High Pressure Turbine Blades and Nozzles in support of 37 aircraft engine programs. Approximately 85% of our products are deployed in military aircraft with a 47/53% mix of engines and repairs. Job Overview:
This is an exceptional learning opportunity on our production team where you will set up and operate machine tool applications.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Perform all phases of initial set-up, maintain all operating adjustments, and load and unload machines.
* Use measuring devices, fixtures, gages, and flow checking facilities to perform complete component checks and manufacturing processes of major and minor parts relating to turbine airfoil manufacturing.
* Work to close tolerance from verbal or written instructions, blueprints, or sketches.
* Instruct and train other employees.
* Perform preventative maintenance and related duties.
Requirements include:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Graduate of a Vocational High School OR graduate of other equivalent accredited manufacturing program).
* Able to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM) and/or 3rd shift (12:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
Desirable qualifications:
* Ability to verify and inspect own work using micrometers.
* Ability to run manual equipment concurrently.
* Ability to work effectively in a cellular, team-oriented environment.
* Ability to work under general direction with minimal supervision.
* Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and a teaming environment.
* Reading and writing proficiency to help understand work instructions such as quality sheets and inspection reports.
* Experience machining to aerospace standards and specifications.
