General Job Description
Dogwood Industries is seeking a Shipping Material Handler at our Factory in Everett, WA. The core mission of the Shipping Material Handler is to facilitate the efficient and accurate shipping of finished product. The Shipping Material Handler is an integral part of the production team and is required to have comprehensive knowledge about the material and understand the manufacturing workflow. Employee will be hands on in the preparation, packaging and load out of completed product.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Utilize a forklift and reach lift to transport materials efficiently and safely across the warehouse to production lines.
Complete records of material movement to and from shelving locations and production lines using a handheld inventory system.
Reconcile materials from completed jobs and return remaining materials to specified shelving units in the warehouse.
Use a reach lift or sit down/stand up lift to carefully place pallets in designated racking areas.
Organize, consolidate, and strategically place materials for upcoming jobs in staging lanes daily, ensuring smooth production flow.
Maintain a First-In/First-Out system to guarantee that expiry requirements are met without any spoilage.
Overtime may be required to complete unloading of deliveries on a day-to-day basis.
Perform general housekeeping tasks in and around storage areas daily, promoting cleanliness and organization.
Continuously strive to improve processes and refine methods of job performance, seeking out opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
Uphold and deliver safe, high-quality, and consistent products and services that exceed the expectations of our valued customers.
Adhere to the guidelines and requirements outlined in the General Safety Communication Program.
Complete any additional duties or tasks that may be assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Forklift Experience Required
Reach Lift, Sit Down/Stand Up Lift Experience Preferred
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift up to 50-75 lbs. occasionally
Attention to detail
Able to accurately perform repetitive tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
Warehouse environment within a warm, dry facility.
Standing for extended periods on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and coffee dust.
Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
WORK HABITS:
Regular attendance and promptness are required.
Some work may be required outside of the normal work week.
