Full-time Description (Mission): This position is responsible for the operation of machinery, equipment, and tooling required in the manufacturing of piston rings. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (Duties include but are not limited to) Uses quality standards to ensure set-ups are done correctly and operates the machinery at an acceptable rate, ensuring that the machinery runs within process control parameters while practicing safety compliance at all times. Follows SPC chart measurements requirements while operating the machinery in order to produce product that meets with strict design and quality standards. Follows work instructions to determine proper method of performing quality work Performs unskilled maintenance as required. Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished work pieces. Records data on employee time/job card in the computer. Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner. Notify team leader or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues/shortages and recommends production efficiency and quality improvements to supervisor. Immediately report incidents and accidents in work area. Follows applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations Participate/Establish an environment and culture that promotes safety in the workplace. Attends and contributes to department and Company meetings. Work Environment This job operates within a plant environment subject to indoor factory conditions; heated in winter and non-air conditioned in summer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. May have to transfer product from one building to another.
