Our offices, manufacturing & distribution center is in Hicksville, New York. This position requires for the Operator to change plastic rolls as needed (several times a day, depending on production) and place them in the machine for wrapping product. The Operator will also go to the Warehouse (adjacent to the Production facility) to get the rolls that are being replaced when the previous rolls are empty (out of plastic). These rolls typically weigh 30 - 60 lbs., depending on size and use for product. If no equipment is available to transfer the rolls, Operator will need to lift and carry the rolls to the operating area. Qualifications Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: assuring that the machines are running properly; no leakage in product, product sealed properly, etc. This is a physical, active position that requires standing, bending, lifting, carrying, kneeling, etc. This is a full-time position with company benefits including medical, 401k, paid holidays, etc. Only qualified candidates will be considered. Responsibilities/ Accountabilities ⢠Inspect carriers/trailers of inbound and outbound shipments. ⢠Escorts drivers always when in the facility. ⢠Receives and unloads freight, checks for damaged goods, verifies items and quantities received with BOL, Packing List, PO, etc. ⢠Moves materials as required for sampling, inspection, status label changes, etc. ⢠Move materials from Quarantine to Released or Rejected areas as directed by Warehouse Management. ⢠Perform dispensing activities for Packaging and Raw materials. ⢠Picks materials from Released inventory following GMP rules as required per production schedule, pick list, or production record requirement. ⢠Make the necessary documentation entries. ⢠Deliver materials to specified locations in the warehouse. ⢠Load outbound freight as specified in BOLâs after confirming material or production descriptions, lot numbers, count and quantities. ⢠Perform inventory counts as required. ⢠Maintains assigned areas in a clean and orderly state. Performs minor and spot cleaning as required. ⢠Verifies documentation and reports for accuracy. ⢠Complies will all aspects of quality management system, cGMP policies, documentation and record keeping in accordance with industry and FDA standards and Safety and sanitation regulations. ⢠Other duties assigned as required by Warehouse Management. Education Qualifications ⢠High School Diploma (or equivalent experience) Experience ⢠Two (2) to five (5) years minimum of direct work experience in warehousing. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pharmaceutical warehousing. ⢠Forklift experience is a plus. Skills/ Competencies ⢠Must have legible handwriting, and the ability to perform accurate documentation. ⢠Must be able to read and write English ⢠Must be able to count accurately and have good basic math. skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. ⢠Must be organized, capable of following instructions, and can coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. ⢠Basic computer skills. ⢠Must be willing to work in a generic pharmaceutical warehouse setting. ⢠Must have the physical ability, coordination, skills, and judgment necessary to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and without damage to materials, equipment, or facilities. ⢠Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, in a safe manner. Requirements High school education or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience on the job. Must have a valid US driver's license with Class E certification. Driving experience preferred. Must be 21 years of age for insurance. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Fundamental computer skills required. The pay for this position starts at a minimum of $19.34/hr. when the minimum job requirements are met and goes up based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications in a similar role.
