Communicate within and between job sites and with other companies to coordinate when needed. * Make take-offs/material lists for what is needed and coordinate orders with vendors for delivery or pickup. Receive and help direct equipment that arrives onsite to be installed. * Determine size and pathways for water supply networks and waste drainage systems. * Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids. * Ensure that systems are up to code and meet all building and safety standards. * Prepare for installing pipe and mechanical systems by selecting materials, including type and size of pipe, cutting holes through existing structures, installing hangers, and preassembling valves and fittings. * Assemble pipe and tubing sections, which may include soldering, threading, pro-press, or brazing tasks. * Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle as needed. * Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim. * Test pipe systems through observation of pressure gauges and fixes leaks that exist. Ensure all installations are properly sized, aligned, supported, and match final system drawings. * Set up inspections and walk throughs with inspectors. Follows safety policies and immediately reports safety incidents. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. * Ensures assigned tools and equipment are properly maintained following preventive maintenance guidelines. * Performs other duties as assigned.
