Commercial Roofing Foreman Responsibilities
Focus on enforcing and coordinating daily safety measures. Safety focus areas include things like: Fall Protection, PPE, SDS, rescue plans, loading and receiving of materials, flagging, Crystalline Silica, keeping tools in working order, Personal Protective Equipment is being utilized correctly, documentation of safety issues, etc.
Exercise a high level of communication and documentation. This is an area that is very important that cannot be overlooked by the Foreman. Daily communication between you and the project's Superintendent is required. As a Foreman, you will handle several calls throughout the day. You will be responsible for taking pictures of areas of concern, making sure to attach pictures to email chains to include Superintendent Manager, your Superintendent and whomever else needs to be involved to discuss areas of concerns.
Take an active role in managing crews and quality. This will be an area of building relationships with all individuals and working together as a team. Work with the project's Superintendent to monitor Quality. Work with Benton Roofing Superintendent daily to help establish and prioritize daily goals for on-site crews, troubleshoot issues negatively impacting production progress, exercise forethought to plan for upcoming phases of the project.
Assist with coordinating and participating in Weekly Subcontractor Meetings. Weekly sub meetings are a place to voice your decisions/opinions and understand how the project is moving along. Shadow your Superintendent through LISTENING and taking notes, including hearing from all trades so you better understand how a building is built and scheduled.

Experienced with custom tower rigging techniques.
Experienced with all manners of troubleshooting e.g., RET's, GPS antenna system, RF noise floor, TMA gain, tower light systems, VSWR, microwave systems, etc.).
Proficient with the completion of closeout packages.
