Qualifications and Skills:We are looking for superstar candidates who already have 3-5 years of experience as a site manager in a landscape construction company and that demonstrate reliability, integrity, and commitment! This position starts at $80k per year, but with incentives, has the ability to make $120k+. Training: There is an 8 to 12-week training period with our site manager at an assessed pay rate. It is non-negotiable to go through this process to learn our techniques and standards. Qualified candidates must be honest, hardworking, detail-oriented, and ethical. SS Landscaping is adding construction foreman to our construction team. This position directly impacts the success of our construction department. In addition to maintain our client's properties we also offer enhancement services i.e. irrigation, water features, walls, drainage, clearing/grading, etc. If you are interested in growing your knowledge, skills, expertise, salary and benefits within the landscaping field, we can offer that opportunity. Review plans, specifications and notes with Project Managers or estimators, as needed, prior to job start to ensure complete understanding of the project requirements. Review and compare plans, specifications, proposal and notes with site conditions for verification and layout. Coordination with owners, architects, homeowners, etc. Various forms of documentation including: extra work tickets, daily reports, safety forms, time sheets, field files, etc. Review and documentation of changes made to irrigation and landscaping on as-built drawings. Delegation of responsibilities to subordinates to ensure maximum efficiency on site. Preparation of critical paths, forecast and schedule upcoming needs of: materials, labor, equipment to maintain project durations. Operation of heavy equipment as necessary (Excavators, Skid Steer, Forklift). Plant identification and layout per plans or instructions. Layout, organization and quality control of irrigation installation. Able to twist and/or lift, (such as shoveling bark, topsoil, etc) Able to bend, kneel, or squat for prolonged period of time (planting annuals, groundcover, etc.) Able to reach above shoulder height Able to climb into truck bed, work on sloping ground Able to handle equipment, such as wheelbarrow, shovels, rakes, brooms, etc. Able to work in varying weather conditions English speaking Valid driver's license 5+ years experience SS Landscaping is a family owned business operating for the past 45 years. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and complete fence installation for customers; with specific emphasis on commercial work. Understand how to read and interpret plans, drawings and schematics. Install various fencing types including chain link, ornamental iron, vinyl and cedar. Obtains fence bid and plans from Installation Manager and ask questions as needed. Obtains all materials and supplies for described job from storage facility and transport to jobsite. Drives truck to job site along with 1-2 laborers depending on job. Supervise and assist in preparation of fencing site; clearing brush if needed and removing old fencing (if applicable). Measure and lay out fence line, and use appropriate equipment (ex. Post hole digger, auger, rock bar or jackhammer, etc…) to dig holes. Set metal, steel, vinyl or wooden post in post hole by prepping concrete, aligning and verifying trueness with a level. Follow up to complete job after concrete is set. Secure fence rails to post. Stretch or install fencing between posts and attach to frame. This includes cutting fencing material to size with wire cutters or saws. Assemble and install gates if needed. Accurately document labor hours for self and laborers. Document any changes to job. Travel throughout Puget Sound area to job sites. Professionally meet and greet customers while on job sites, telephone calls or contact. Maintain accurate and up-to-date product knowledge on product lines carried by EFC. Clean and maintain work space, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety and company standards.
