Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible to lead, train and mentor the project crew, prioritize and delegate responsibilities, communicate with the trades people on the job site, and track project schedule to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately and on-time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects. Reports on job status and performance. Controls job costs. College degree is a plus. 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or other related industry/trade, Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours. Ability to organize tasks. Ability to use good judgment in making work assignments. Ability to give clear instructions and guidance, as needed. Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed. Ability to ensure safe work practices and ensure compliance with Safety policies. Initiate and manage the daily tailgate safety meeting and JHA. Work with Project Manager and Superintendents/Construction Managers to understand the scope of work and bring to their attention any potential problems and issues. Communication with the Project Manager should continue on a regular basis. Ensure that all HMT and customer specifications, guidelines, and programs are being followed and documented as required. Responsible for managing the field crew in the performance of daily tasks. Ensure that work is being performed efficiently with regard to manpower, equipment, tools and consumables. Responsible for compliance with all QA/QC requirements including contract drawings and specifications. Complete all general site paperwork including timesheets, T&M sheets, and measured work sheets, progress reporting. Responsible for onsite customer relations. Red-line construction drawings as required for approved scope changes. Provide sketches of existing customer equipment associated with our scope (platform connections, ladders, catwalks, and any piping). Complete any required HMT Data Sheets (roof drain systems, suctions, seal data, etc.). Responsible for the training of crew members in the art of tank repairs and tank building if applicable. Field Foreman are expected to train prospective employees to become Field Foreman. Must maintain a positive attitude with crew members. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years' experience as a field foreman in the AST (Above Ground Storage Tank industry) Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of Foreman experience Detail-oriented, Excellent organizational skills Ability to handle multiple jobs concurrently. Ability to handle multiple jobs concurrently (able to manage up to 15 employees). Maintain accurate Field Progress Reports. Able to give clear and concise instructions to multiple employees in the execution of work. Ability to complete all required paperwork associated with safety and QA/QC without assistance. Possess knowledge of automatic welding and burning equipment. This would include the ability to run, repair, and train others in the use and operation of this type of equipment. Ability to interpret field and fabrication drawings. Must be able to communicate via email and phone. Must be DOT OQ qualified. Certified to weld with automatic equipment (3 o'clocks, Automatic vert welder, fluxcore) Must meet all criteria for a Class B Welder. Certified Rigger. Understand and follow rigging practices.
