Brunel is currently searching for a Maintenance Foreman - Fixed Plant for a direct hire role with our mining client located East of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The Maintenance Foreman will lead the salaried and hourly employees in maintenance activities of the fixed plant, HVAC equipment and facilities for both surface and underground, with mechanical support provided to other areas as required.
Duties:
Understand the Safety and Health Management System and lead employees in safe work practices.
Oversee the work of the Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC groups.
Understand, communicate and administer the site and department tech progression policies, including overseeing the training and advancement of hourly Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC employees.
Understand, communicate, and administer the Hourly Incentive Program (HIP) and manage hourly Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC employees to the goals of the program.
Ensure Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC efficiencies and performance in cooperation with Mine Operations.
Work effectively with the Maintenance Planners, and Mine and Mill management to meet immediate and long-term Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC requirements and objectives in support of production goals.
Planning, scheduling, and oversight of the execution of preventive maintenance.
Manage fixed plant shutdowns, minimizing impact to the property.
Manage emergency repairs to fixed plant and HVAC infrastructure.
Continuously seek ways to improve the ease of maintenance, reliability and availability of the equipment using both formal and informal Reliability Engineering techniques.
Manage and coordinate contract maintenance on fixed plant equipment for both on-site and off-site contract work.
Ensure Fixed Plant Maintenance and HVAC employees are complying with the preventive maintenance schedule.
Ensure the right quantities of equipment spare parts are available at the right time.
Assign work orders to employees, set and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and quantity of work performed. Follow up throughout the shift to ensure performance standards are being met.
Participate in and/or facilitate Risk Assessment activities as required.
Participate in and/or facilitate the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required.
Inspect daily operations and projects in process and upon completion to ensure the quality and reliability of work performed.
Ensure all required paperwork is completed to the required standard, including shift reports, requests for materials, timecards, etc.
Attend meetings as required, including training and department meetings.
Perform activities of hourly employees supervised, per the collective bargaining agreement, in the case of an emergency, when necessary to instruct employees in their duties, for minor work that is unreasonable to assign to a bargaining unit employee, or to provide training for salaried personnel.
Follow and understand MSHA rules and regulations, environmental rules and regulations, SOP and work area instructions, participate in safety and environmental activities.
Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations and environmental policies.
Supervisory responsibilities: Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Mechanics, HVAC Mechanic.
Participate in employee relations/disciplinary meetings as required, including grievance meetings for hourly employees.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required, Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related preferred.
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance including HVAC required, hoists, pumps, chillers, conveyors.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Good understanding of underground mining operations required.
Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Familiarity with IFS business system preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English required.
Analytical, problem solving, planning and organizing, quality control, dependable.
Must possess a valid driver's license
ATF possessor's clearance required.
Must complete MSHA 40-hour training or provide 5000-23 documentation of completed training.

Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools. Hauling and hoisting of materials. Carry forms and materials from truck and trailer to area for form setting.
Spray forms with form oil.
Setting of concrete footing, wall, and slab forms. Set forms to the desired depth and pitch while aligning them. Ensure that forms are properly constructed for concrete pours. Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
Remove concrete forms.
Efficiently bend, form, tie and install rebar. Efficiently cut and install wire mesh.
Direct cement truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Operate chute to ensure that concrete be poured in the correct places.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
Spray cure on concrete when complete.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to include but not limited to circular saws, demolition saws, jigsaws, grinders, jack hammers, concrete saws, etc. and perform minor maintenance as required.
Properly clean, inspect, and maintain the appearance of company equipment by keeping tools clean, handling and storing materials, and keeping trucks and trailers orderly and organized.
Perform other related duties as required. Complete additional tasks as developed and assigned by supervisor or management.
Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed. Willing and able to jump in and do whatever is needed to get the job done.
Assist and fully cooperate with the Project Manager to ensure timely and successful completion of construction projects.

Manual work in preparing surfaces.
Rake and Shovel concrete.
Concrete Finishing and Screeding of all types of concrete structures and flatwork.
Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, ride-on trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
Operate power vibrator to consolidate concrete.
Finish corners by hand.
Smooth high spots and fill depressions; Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools.
Concrete patching.
Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools. Hauling and hoisting of materials. Carry forms and materials from truck and trailer to area for form setting.
Spray forms with form oil.
Setting of concrete footing, wall, and slab forms. Set forms to the desired depth and pitch while aligning them. Ensure that forms are properly constructed for concrete pours. Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.
Remove concrete forms.
Efficiently bend, form, tie and install rebar. Efficiently cut and install wire mesh.
Direct cement truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Operate chute to ensure that concrete be poured in the correct places.
Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
Spray cure on concrete when complete.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to include but not limited to circular saws, demolition saws, jigsaws, grinders, jack hammers, concrete saws, etc. and perform minor maintenance as required.
Properly clean, inspect, and maintain the appearance of company equipment by keeping tools clean, handling and storing materials, and keeping trucks and trailers orderly and organized.
Perform other related duties as required. Complete additional tasks as developed and assigned by supervisor or management.
Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed. Willing and able to jump in and do whatever is needed to get the job done.
Assist and fully cooperate with the Project Manager to ensure timely and successful completion of construction projects.
Teach and lead new employees
Must wear proper attire: Hard hat, Sturdy Work Boots, High Visibility clothing, Safety Glasses, and Personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must provide own hand finish tools for daily use.
At times this position requires:
Concrete demolition: breaking out concrete, wheeling broken concrete, and loading into tractor or truck.
Running a jack hammer.
Running a skid steer and/or bobcat.
Cut out damaged areas, drill holes for reinforcing rods, and position reinforcing rods to repair concrete, using power saw and drill.

Landscape Foreman
Foreman Job In Star, ID
Join a growing team that prides itself on a job well done. We're looking for a Landscape Foreman to join our team.
Here's what you'd do:
A Landscape Foreman will be responsible for managing the installation of upgrades for commercial landscape maintenance accounts.
You'd be responsible for:
Conducting weekly job site inspections
Completing job site checklist
Installation of required materials for landscaping/irrigation/site development
Scheduling delivery of materials and equipment
Crews production rates, quality control and safety
Assisting in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
Ensuring that all employees are attending the weekly tailgate meeting
Confirming that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; performing hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and performing general public safety checks
Maintaining a hazardous communication folder including all relevant forms for chemicals used on the job site
Reporting reckless or dangerous activities to job Superintendent; notifying Safety Office of any accidents and submitting accident reports according to Company policy
Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:
Safeguard assets from theft and misuse
Ensure segregation of duties to minimize fraud
Comply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulation
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Periodically reconcile physical assets to accounting records

* 3+ years of experience as a foreman or crew lead. (Must be able to read blueprints, staking, and work in Tenths)
