Information Packages - Each crew activity must have information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc…). Keep control of breaks (loss time of personal breaks smoking time, conversation time). Daily hour/unit reports for their crews - Submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to Foreman on established from (Standard Time Sheet/Daily Report Sheet). Quality control inspections of work completed - Must follow established QC plan & check lists. Responsible for training and mentoring employees on the Installation, Testing, Troubleshooting and maintenance of Fire Alarm system wiring and components. SUMMARY OF POSITION Kinsley is seeking a qualified Concrete Foreman to join our growing Industrial team, based out of the Hagerstown, MD Office. The Concrete Foreman is responsible for directing and coordinating activity associated with the construction of the project and must have the ability to lead by example, motivate crew members, and efficiently manage the job. An ideal candidate should possess a solid background in the field with all aspects of concrete construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to delegate direct work to others and make quick and accurate decisions. This position is considered a “Working Foreman” position which involves working alongside crews to assist in completing the projects as required. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 3 to 6 individuals Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed to complete the job Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs Ensure job sites are safe by implementing safe work practices Ensure job sites and work practices follow OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations Effectively delegate responsibilities and individual tasks to crew members Oversee and train new crew members Communicate and report job status effectively Utilize instruments for precise layout as needed Communicate and interface with clients maintaining Kinsley's reputation as first-rate contractor Read drawings, plans, and blueprints, and conveying this information to others Identify and research adequate resources, labor, and equipment, to complete projects efficiently Operate general construction equipment such as skid steers, excavators, telehandlers, etc. Set complex forms ensuring correct and high-quality finished product Install and oversee the installation reinforcing rebar or mesh wire Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required REQUIREMENTS 5+ years experience directing a concrete crew is required Basic computer skills required Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and manipulating things Understand and follow oral and written instructions Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unfavorable weather conditions Must have transportation to get to assigned job sites Must have a valid driver's license Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening Must be willing to travel out of town for some jobs and some may require overnight stay Must have extensive experience with horizontal concrete, vertical concrete, and machine foundations HOW TO APPLY If you are interested in a position at Kinsley Construction, please apply on our website at **************************************** or mail, fax, or email a resume including salary requirements to: KINSLEY CONSTRUCTION, LLC.
