The Solid Waste Foremen supervises various activities in Collections (Field Services), Customer Engagement Services - Special Operations, or at a transfer station in the Solid Waste Diversion and Disposal Division. Depending on the division assigned, Solid Waste Foremen may supervise Solid Waste Equipment Operators, Solid Waste Workers, Support Services Aides, Weigh Station Clerks, Laborers, Equipment Operators, and/or Solid Waste Environmental Specialists. This position will provide supervisory support for a large group of Solid Waste Equipment Operators responsible for contained and/or uncontained solid waste collections along designated routes and service areas. Solid Waste Foremen adjust daily work requirements to ensure completion of designated routes with zero to minimal overtime. Incumbents work with other region Foremen under the general supervision of a Solid Waste Supervisor and/or Solid Waste Superintendent.
Shifts for Solid Waste Field Services Foreman include 5:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, dependent on operational needs. Some Saturday work may be necessary dependent on Holiday schedules and operational needs.
IDEAL CANDIDATE

MAINTENANCE WORKING FOREMAN PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, manage, and direct escalated maintenance issues by performing preventive, reactive, and predictive mechanical and electrical repairs for all UDA plants, warehouses, and facilities
• Track, log, and report all escalated maintenance issues to UDA leadership
• Manage team of maintenance technicians including scheduling, shift coverage, assigning tasks, projects, mentoring, and corrective actions
• Plan and direct the maintenance of all plant equipment with minimum cost and high reliability
• Actively participate in plant safety efforts including conducting incident reports, mitigation of project risks, and technician safety
• Regularly provide prompt and detailed technical guidance for a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration conditions
• Perform a variety of industrial pneumatic diagnostics and repairs to valves, banks, and fittings
• Perform various electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repairs including, but not limited to 3-phase motors, contactor relays, blown fuses, overload starters, VFD's, motors, and PLC's
• Perform a variety of plumbing repairs to PVC, copper, and stainless-steel fittings
