Position Description
This position will require a background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening. This TAIT position will train an individual to become a Construction Foreman. The Construction Foreman oversees construction tasks and supervises on-site personnel and subcontractors. This pivotal role ensures the coordination of projects to enhance profitability, surpass client expectations, and deliver high-quality results meeting or exceeding industry standards. Additionally, the Construction Foreman serves as the Job Site Safety Officer, responsible for implementing injury and illness prevention policies. Reporting directly to the Director, the Foreman is accountable for efficient, timely, and safe services in alignment with ethical and professional standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and actively engage in all on-site activities, capturing comprehensive photo documentation for each phase
Maintain a constant presence in the work area, unless temporarily relieved by an approved interim Foreman
Coordinate material procurement, including gravel, concrete, etc., and document rental equipment
Inspect and inventory delivered equipment/materials/parts, ensuring compliance with specifications
Schedule and oversee inspections, liaise with inspectors, and manage subcontractor activities
Conduct and document daily safety meetings, identifying and addressing potential hazards in the work area
Enforce strict compliance with safety requirements for all personnel, ensuring cleanliness and security
Promptly report accidents and incidents to the Project Manager or Construction Manager
Manage the job schedule, addressing daily issues impacting timelines with the Construction Manager/Project Manager
Ensure the project stays within allocated labor hours, consulting with the Construction Manager/Project Manager before implementing overtime. Complete and submit daily logs
Provide the Project Manager with installation/operating instructions for new equipment
Complete and submit warranty documents for new equipment to the Project Manager and furnish detailed as-built drawings
Minimum Qualifications
3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial petroleum construction installation/supervision
ICC UST Install/Retrofit, ICC UST Removal, ICC Service Technician, and Veeder Root certifications
Strong judgment and adaptability to changing field conditions and requirements
24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher course
Valid Driver's License
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word)
Additional Requirements
Completion of background check, MVR, and physical/drug screening
Clear and professional communication skills with clients and team members
Ability to drive to job sites, occasionally covering extensive distances, up to 1000 miles per week

Experience using slurry with drilled piers.
QA/QC checklist.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor a crew.
Familiarity with construction safety protocols and procedures.
