The person in this position oversees crews in the performance of track maintenance and is responsible for oversight of both maintenance and repair activities surrounding the maintenance-of-way (MoW) job or project functions. Responsibilities include training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS: - Process development / Engineering experience preferred - Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing Processes / Toyota Production System Methodologies (5s, Gemba walks, Six Sigma, reduction of waste (Muda, Muri, Mura), Kanban, SMED) - Supervisor/Management Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred - Strong knowledge of GD&T - Experienced with metal (stainless steel, titanium, aluminum) and plastics machining preferred - Knowledgeable of CNC machine tools is preferred; CNC Horizontal and Vertical Mills, 5-Axis, Lathes, and EDM. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (preferred). Full-time Description Tower Crew - Foreman The Tower Crew Foreman is responsible for the safety of personnel performing work on telecom towers, conducting site audits, and helping crews upgrade existing hardware. This is a working position, and the foreman is required to climb communication towers, radio towers, and other structures working at heights to provide access to areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. The foreman also ensures that technicians carry out work in accordance with company and legal standards. This position must comply with all relevant safety regulations and standards. Help lead the efforts in the assembly of the monopole, self-support guyed towers and rooftops. Assist in the antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15ft, VHF, UHF, cellular and FM broadcast antennas is required. Lead the transmission line and installation. Physical Demands This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods.
