Position Overview:
The Food & Beverage Attendant assists with service in the Clubhouse café near the halfway point of the golf course. The focus of this position is to attend to the food & beverage orders and requests received from the Members and their guests in a positive and friendly manner. This position is a seasonal position through October.
Position Responsibilities:
Take food and beverage orders with accuracy.
Provide prompt, accurate, and quality service.
Organize, stock inventory, and keep area clean.
Engage with Members and their guests and always put the Member first.
Operate with a sense of urgency and strive to produce the best possible service.
Set up and tear down tables and café area daily and during events.
Be knowledgeable about the menu and available items.
Learn and perform all steps of service.

Essential Functions:
* Perform to very high standards during both setup and service.
* Keeps work areas clean and organized.
* Daily stocking and cleaning of all service areas in dining room and kitchen. Performs any necessary pre-shift side work. Daily hand polishing of china, silver, and glassware.
* Reviews the menu and becomes thoroughly familiar with all items and means of preparation being offered that day, including the ingredients, preparation, sauces, and garnishes as well as the wine list, what wines compliment which food items, and why.
* Checks with the Lead Line Cook, Food Expeditor and/or Servers for any special instructions prior to the beginning of each shift. Ensures the line is properly set up and cleaned.
* Learns and memorizes all table numbers and seat numbers so they can deliver the members and guests order without having to ask who ordered it.
* Ensures prompt delivery of food to the member's or guest's table. Handles hot plates and glassware.
* Work with Captains, Supervisors, and Manager to insure prompt, accurate and efficient service.
* Asks the member or guest if there is anything else they would like prior to leaving the table. If there is an additional request from the member or guest, will either bring this item directly to the table or communicate the needs to the Server immediately.
* Cleans and reset tables as directed.
* Completes assigned side work and assists in closing the line, nightly breakdown of side stations and cleaning the kitchen.
* May be called upon to assist with in-room dining services, as needed, or required.

Provide memorable guest experience to club members, hotel guests, and public guests in casual to upscale dining environments. Offer complete knowledge of service standards and menu offerings while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Essential Functions:
* Maintains work schedule as assigned and communicates any necessary scheduling requirements to management in advance of schedule release.
* Provide detailed and thorough knowledge of culinary and beverage items.
* Upsell premium offerings and add-ons to enhance guest experience.
* Complete required and suggested training to achieve maximum knowledge.
* Provide thoughtful and complete product suggestions.
* Complete opening and closing side work.
* Maintain service in assigned section/dining room as determined by management.
* Ensure that all orders are recorded and entered into point-of-sale system accurately and in a timely manner.
* Ensures that all food and beverage orders are delivered correctly and promptly.
* Secures and processes payment quickly and accurately.
* Maintain all guest checks and complete shift paperwork as assigned.
* Complete cleaning and stocking duties thoroughly and as assigned.
* Be prepared to speak to the offerings of the entire Resort and Spa including services offered and hours of operation.
* Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
* Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
* Completes additional training as needed.
* Performs deep cleaning and organizing as assigned.
* Assists with the functions of other positions within the restaurant and across the resort as needed.
* Maintains proper functioning and cleaning of equipment used in kitchen and dining room.
* Alerts management of needed product. Rotates dated product as needed. Removes expired product when needed.
* Understands functions of departments across resort property.
* Articulates the location of departments and services when required.
* Ability to work flexible schedule includes required shifts on weekends, holidays, and as business requires.

Position Requirements:
* Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Requires in-depth knowledge of food and beverage items and culinary methods, and safe handling. Requires proficiency in fine dining service standards and dining etiquette. Requires ability to verbally communicate and record information in writing. Requires basic computer proficiency.
* Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: Minimum formal education of high school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of food & beverage experience in a restaurant setting. Two (2) years of professional serving experience in either a Michelin Star, AAA Diamond, Forbes 4-Star Dining room or equivalent level setting.
