SCOPE: Prepares beverages for the customer in a prompt and courteous fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency to ensure guest satisfactions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promotes house drinks and utilizes upselling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues. 2. Prepares beverages requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper proportions and ingredients to control costs and provide a consistent product to the guests. 3. Maintains clean an organized work areas to maximize efficiency; sets up the bar and back bar according to established procedures. 4. Monitors guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable. 5. Verifies liquor inventory; correctly completes all requisition requirements and stores stock as per approved procedures. Obtains, counts and secures bartender's bank; distributes and collects bar servers' banks; documents cash distribution in register drawer.

Keeps bar supplied with snacks. Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs. Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served. Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive. Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies. Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service. Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons. Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant. Education and Experience: Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required. At least one year of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks. Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds. Must be legal drinking age or older. Must acquire a gaming permit from Gaming Commission. Must complete training in serve safe. Must be 21 or older.
