Lead Food Handlers/Cooks are responsible for production of food products in a safe and healthy manner, using proper food handling and sanitation procedures. May be assigned to a number of locations at Grand Canyon West. Oversee a shift operation and assist supervisor in directing work of Food Handlers - Cooks. Act as role model for employees and provide training to new employees. Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience in preparing food while observing sound health and sanitation practices.

Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service by providing prompt, courteous and helpful service and information to guests.
Ability to load and unload delivery trucks and handle inventory of items required by Food & Beverage. Ability to monitor and maintain proper levels of stock.
Demonstrate ability to handle cash and follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
Ability to perform custodial tasks such as washing dishes, sweeping, trash collection, bus tables and mopping of floors.
Ability to train new employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In the kitchen, prepares meals and food items, while observing sound health and sanitation practices such as proper hand washing, avoiding cross contamination, monitoring food temperatures and proper sanitation of utensils and cooking surfaces. Completes temperature or stock logs. Ensure that work is being handled properly and high quality standards are maintained.
If working on the serving line, observes stock levels of food items and notifies appropriate staff. Provides outstanding customer service to guests.
Washes dishes, sweeps floor, bus tables, handles trash collection and mops floors as assigned throughout shift.
May handle cash registers, following proper cash handling policies and procedures. May be responsible for cash drawer security.
Loads and unloads delivery trucks and handles inventory of Food & Beverage items. Maintains proper level of stock for dry and perishable items.
Assists in training new employees in all policies and procedures, ensuring sound health and sanitation practices are being followed.
Fosters a team environment, multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Good oral communication skills.
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Prior cooking and serving experience working in fast food, restaurant or as a Food Handler at GCW. Cash handling experience preferred.
Current Food Handlers' card.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:Kitchen environment with exposure to heat. Must be able to work extended periods while standing. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Objective:
The primary purpose of a Food Runner is to ensure an accurate delivery of food and culinary products to our membership throughout the club. Prepare kitchen for service

Ensure orders have the correct plates and condiments
Ensure food is served hot and consistent with specifications
Ensure seat numbers are clearly marked on plate covers
Ensure errors are fixed immediately and effectively
Effectively communicate with staff and membership
Ensure all side work is done on a daily basis
Assist servers with presenting and serving the food item to the member; whenever possible, a food runner must complete a full serving / food presentation to the table

Clean up spills as they occur
Report adverse situations to management
