The Utility Floater is responsible for providing support within the Folders and Gadgets departments. This role is a floater role assisting with machine operation, gadget stocking, labeling, and packing.
Position Accountabilities:
1. Stocks Gadget stations as needed.
2. Assists with running all machines within the Folders department including the creaser, punch master, tabber, cornering, hole punch, and corner rounder.
3. Assists with packing folder boxes.
4. Assists with labeling and sealing boxes.
5. Assists with stocking each gadget station with the proper parts.
6. Assists with repalletizing finished goods.
7. Reads production schedule to ensure production of correct products.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications: (including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, licenses, certifications, and other characteristics).
Ability to work both independently and with other team members.
Ability to navigate independently to and from workstation, bathrooms, and break area.
Must be able to enter the building and navigate to workstation independently.
Ability to read labels.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift.
Must be able to walk, bend, twist and reach in all directions.
Must have the ability to utilize two hands.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work Environment:

Essential Function: The Folder/Gluer Operator is responsible for operating folder machines, producing high quality printing jobs, to meet customer and company expectations, in a cost-effective manner while meeting strict deadlines.
Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience operating folding machines in a commercial printing environment
Job Duties and General Expectations:
Excellent eye for detail
Highly motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel
Have a minimum knowledge of computers (knowledge of Pace is a plus)
Keep accurate and complete daily records for data collection
Meet company and departmental standards, including: Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.
Follow Lahlouh ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as necessary
Follow Lahlouh policies outlined in the company handbook

Keep jobs and production floor clean and organized
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jacks and/or rolling carts
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion
Communicate any job specifics issues or other pertinent information regarding jobs to the next shift, if necessary

Have job jacket, changeover components, and product at gluer
Perform line clearance procedures.
Read all instructions applying to gluer on the job jacket prior to running job.
Understands and carry out the material stripping process when required.
Understands both the input and output of the gluer operation.
Assists in the performance of preventative maintenance on the gluer when requested.
Assists in clean up and in keeping the immediate work area around the gluer neat and orderly.
Responsible for reviewing product to quality standards and job jacket requirements
Notify Gluer Operator and/or Quality when quality standards are not met
Responsible for the correct packing and labeling of in-process and finished product
Ensures all quality checks are completed in a timely manner
Saves retains for Quality as per instructions from job ticket
Ensures all safety rules and regulations are followed
Ensure work is being done properly or asks questions if unsure
Assists in fulfillment and assembly when requested
Performs other tasks as may be required or requested
Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, case making, labeling operations and sorting
