Fluor led joint venture seeking candidates for the newly awarded I-35E Phase 2 project, covering the southern segment of I-35E in Dallas County from I-635 to the Denton County line. This project is currently being progressed through a design-build project delivery. The Phase 2 project reconstructs and widens the main lanes from six to eight lanes. It also reconstructs the two existing, grandfathered reversible tolled managed lanes, frontage roads and improves several intersections. This is a Texas Clear Lanes project. Texas Clear Lanes is a statewide strategic plan to provide congestion relief through non-tolled roads and is focused on the five largest metro areas in Texas. Job Duties: The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned craft areas in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager / Environmental Engineer to manage a variety of industrial investigation/remediation projects.** The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate investigation/remediation project and remedial design experience, require a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: + Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation projects + Completing a variety of remedial designs + Building strong client relationships + Client and regulatory correspondence + Technical report writing and review + Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise + Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits + Preparing cost estimates and proposals + Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders + Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors + Responsible for quality control of tasks + Mentor project Jr. staff + Will require some regional travel for field visits + Supervise up to 10 staff **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's in Engineering or closely related field and 2+ years of direct project management experience on remediation projects and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and an MVR check **Preferred Qualifications** + 8 years of experience as environmental remediation engineer in environmental consulting with verifiable remediation design exp. + 4 years of project management experience + PE license + Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies + 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training **Additional Information** + Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. This role serves as Control Team Leader on small projects and provides direct supervision to a small team of Project Controls personnel, or as a Subject Manager Expert (SME) for the entire Project Controls Team in the Regional Office. • Develop Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work defined by the contract • Develop totally integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules/cost control programs • Recommend solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delays • As Cost Specialist develop and analyze the Project Margin Analysis Report (PMAR) • Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management • As Cost Specialist coordinate estimate development with the Project Estimator • Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of Project Controls Cost and/or Scheduling or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed• Possess practical experience in the use of the automated cost or schedule management systems• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
