Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members. Pool Surveillance: Continuously monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and ensure adherence to pool rules. Maintain constant visual surveillance of assigned zones. Identify and respond to potential hazards and unsafe behaviors. Emergency Response: Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR/AED as needed. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and accidents. Follow established emergency action plans. Maintain accurate records of incidents and accidents. Safety Enforcement: Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and fairly. Educate patrons on pool safety guidelines. Prevent overcrowding and unsafe behavior in and around the pool area. Pool Maintenance: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and order in the pool area, including pool decks, restrooms, and locker rooms. Customer Service: Greet and assist pool patrons with a friendly and professional demeanor. Provide information about pool rules, amenities, and services. Address patron inquiries and concerns in a courteous manner. Any other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. A genuine desire to work as part of a team and contribute positively to our workplace culture. A commitment to providing exceptional service that makes a difference to our Membership. Current Lifeguard Certification. Current CPR/AED Certification. Current First Aid Certification. Strong observation and surveillance skills. Must be at least 16 years of age. Working Conditions: You will be doing outdoor activities which could lead to extremes in temperature and humidity. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking. Flexible working hours include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled needed. You may experience variable noise levels. May involve exposure to chemicals and varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Standing, stooping, bending and twisting for most of the workday. Occasionally lifting to 40 lbs. Physical Functions: The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
