Our Billings, Montana office is currently seeking a temporary Records Clerk. The Records Clerk will be responsible for on-going projects related organizing, maintaining, and disposing client files. Under the general supervision of the Records Manager, the Records Clerk is responsible for transferring, tracking, preserving, and/or disposing of files at the end of their retention period. This role requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively and individually to meet project timelines.
Temporary role, anticipated duration is approximately May through August
Full-time, 30-40 hours/week
This role is not eligible for benefits
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates regularly with Records team members to coordinate the transfer of files from off-site storage.
Liases with vendor contacts and facilitates file requests from/returns to various storage facilities.
Reviews and tracks file locations for all offices and shares file locations upon request.
Ensures client records are maintained in compliance with with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
Processes files for preservation or secured disposition at the direction of the Records Manager.
Prepares physical files for storage and/or disposition for all offices.
Scans paper documentation and verifies that scan is clear, legible, and searchable.
Routes file requests to Legal Administrative Assistants and/or Records Manager, or other firm members as needed.
Coordinates shredding and disposition for the Billings office.
Communicates regularly via telephone and email.
Adheres to all personnel policies and practices.
Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned.

PURPOSE:
As a primary contact for customers, the File Maintenance Clerk (FMC) provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The FMC is responsible for pricing integrity throughout the store. Ensures that price tags that are placed throughout the store are consistent with item prices as recorded in the store computer. The FMC is responsible for acceptable pricing integrity compliance scores. Researches and corrects incorrect prices. Prints and hangs shelf tags and display signs in the correct place. Assists departments with price changes. Communicates all pricing errors to Corporate Pricing. Executes price cycles. Audits prices throughout the store for accuracy. Is responsible for the new item placement report. The position is hourly non-exempt. The FMC reports to the Store Director, 1st and 2nd Assistant Manager or Person In Charge.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The FMC is generally responsible for completing the following job duties:
* Provides customer service as defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
* Print signs for displays using computer.
* Prints scale sheets for meat, seafood, deli and bakery.
* Tears and sorts label batches.
* All reports generated for departments (tags, S&P, weekly ad) should be placed in department mailboxes or on department counters.
* Places tags/signs on shelves.
* Audit bulletins for pricing errors.
* Audits sections and secondary displays on a weekly basis.
* Use handheld computer to check prices posted on shelves throughout the store for accuracy and consistency with store computer.
* Monitor inter-office mail and company web page daily for updated information.
* May be responsible for date checks, out of stock and recall notices.
