GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Field Technical Representative ensures proper application of Tremco CPG EIFS, Modulite, Dryvit products in accordance with all company and industry guidelines by providing on-site application and problem resolution.
This position is remote but will eventually work out of the Columbus, GA training center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide independent support for primary territory product lines.
Recommend products and solutions outside of primary product lines with occasional direction.
Provide site support by performing general and complex product applications.
Perform substrate analysis using specialty equipment.
Keep up-to-date technically on practical procedures, specialized techniques to apply new knowledge within the field.
Provide field support by collecting data for project or product specific testing and interpreting results.
Recommend application policies within technical literature.
Coordinate 3rd party testing certification/approvals
Provide live and/or web-based training for internal staff and/or external customers. Create instructional hands-on demonstrations in a classroom, distributor locations, or job site settings showing application of products. Exercise clear and confident communication of product lines and construction practices during presentation delivery.
Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether designs or applications comply with local codes, industry standards, and regulations.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Construction, or similar preferred. and 2-4 years of construction or industry experience OR
Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience
EXPERIENCE:
Two to four years of related experience with commercial construction installation
Plastering experience required
Ability to use a trowel
Dryvit and or Modulite experience
Active listening and attention to detail
Building and construction knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or restoration of buildings or other structures
Knowledge of product application
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo. This includes chemistry of current and future products and systems
Customer Service skills, including needs assessments and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to travel within a multi-state territory

The salary range for applicants in this position generally starts at $85K and goes up based on experience. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.

Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Must be 18 years of age.
Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screening is required.
Three (3) years maintenance experience to include repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment. Strong HVAC experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently.

Working / Environmental Conditions:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
Extensive daily travel to work site location.
Exposure to hot grease from fryers.
On-call weekend rotation (frequency varies with branch size).
Occasional to frequent exertion in high temperature environment (over heated kitchens, rooftops, etc.).

What You Will Be Doing:
As a Field Service Truck Technician you will perform truck repairs at customer facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works in a neat and orderly manner, maintaining a safe work environment and a constant focus on completing the task at hand safely.
Proficiently and accurately perform maintenance, diagnose and repairs
Apply specific failure analysis techniques and procedures in determining root cause of failures and relaying that information to customers and office personnel
Cares for and maintains customer machines/equipment to the highest standards and ensures co-workers are doing the same
Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
Write full reports on findings from field service events, with clear, concise information
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on the status of their maintenance and/or repairs.
Must be willing to work overtime as required depending on customer needs & fluctuating workloads, also need to be available for after-hours calls as needed.
Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position you should have prior experience diagnosing and repairing school buses and Cummins engines, the knowledge of tools applicable to the position and the desire to learn. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Technical Knowledge of School Bus systems
Strong Diesel Engine Knowledge (preferably Cummins Medium Duty)
Strong technical/mechanical ability
Able to work with very little supervision
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
Good Driving Record
High level of responsiveness, and a strong proactive attitude to problem solving
Committed to Quality and a high level attention to detail
Ability and motivation to learn quickly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Technical Degree or Certification a plus.
CDL is a plus, but not required.
