Classroom Observation/Classroom Observation Request Additional Information: Show/Hide Classroom observation only. College students and alternative certification candidates only. Requests received prior to January 27, 2025 will receive a response beginning January 20, 2025.
Please include a copy of your syllabus or assignment to document your need for classroom observation. Three to five business days after submitting the form during the observation window, you will receive a letter via email verifying your clearance through a background check. If the background check reveals a felony arrest or other information that negates the clearance to observe, the GISD investigator will contact you to discuss the information.
Once you hold the letter of verification sent via email, you are responsible for contacting the principal at each campus where you wish to observe to request permission. It will be necessary to present your letter to the office upon arrival at each campus. A map with addresses and phone numbers for each campus is available for pick up in the Garland ISD Human Resources Office and on the Garland ISD website.
Please note the observation window for each semester is subject to change, based on campus discretion. Adherence to this timeline will assist us in accommodating your requests to observe during the best time for teachers and students.

Raba Kistner is seeking an organized, dependable Building Envelope Observer to join our team in Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin, & San Antonio, TX. The Building Envelope Observer will support the Raba Kistner Roofing/Waterproofing Inspection, Surveys, Design and Consulting capabilities. This position will be responsible for contributing to the Building Envelope Consulting Services profit center through active participation in projects and interfacing with clients. They will support the firm's objectives of meeting clients' needs and expectations in a timely manner while achieving individual utilization targets and the Unit's profit objectives. Additionally, will provide other activities as needed by the Building Envelope Consulting Services Group, including field and office duties, CADD support, report and graphic preparation. Responsibilities include:
* Serve as Building Envelope Observer on roofing/waterproofing consulting and design work.
* Perform roofing, waterproofing field-testing, and observation services.
* Analyze field data, laboratory test results, and perform calculations necessary for completion of technical reports.
* Submit draft roofing/waterproofing observation reports for review and final reports for co-signature by senior staff members.
* Review design and survey documents as needed.
* Understand, adhere, and participate in the Raba Kistner Health and Safety and Behavior Based Safety Programs and set a good safety example.
* Review pre-billing invoices as required.
* Within the first six-month period, achieve average utilization goal of not less than 80 percent.
* Notify Direct Report, Director, and Manager of Building Envelope Consulting Services of all potential disputes that may lead to legal claims or litigation.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Minimum 3 years of roofing/waterproofing observations, design and contract administration experience.
* Registered Roofing Observer (RRO) or Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) credential preferred but not required.
* Possess valid Texas driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements.
Good oral and written communications skills and ability to work with clients and staff within the organization. Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Able to drive company vehicle, manage and complete all assigned jobs efficiently and on time.

We are seeking a highly observant and detail-oriented UAS Visual Observer to join our Rooftop Operations team in the Lakewood, Colorado area. This position has the opportunity to grow into a fulltime UAS Operator. In this role, you will operate advanced drones, such as the Skydio X10, to support Drone is Drone as First Responder (DFR) missions. Duties and Responsibilities
Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, system checks, and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal drone performance.
Monitor airspace to identify potential hazards, obstructions, and other aerial activity to ensure safe drone operations.
Collaborate with Skydio and other partners to support integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of drone systems.
Respond to mission requests and deploy drones quickly from designated rooftop sites to provide real-time aerial intelligence.
