The engineer will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion and meet plant performance goals. Determine the relevant safety policy for the scope of work and issue safe-work permits to the contractor daily. + Provide input and make suggestions for future projects and their prioritization to the business based on factors associated with safety, productivity, and cost. + Manage project budgets and be accountable for delivering projects on time and budget. + Work closely with accounting and purchasing departments to ensure total financial accountability for assigned projects, from the procurement of materials/tools to project closure. + Forecast potential budget changes and provide information about changes in input costs, material costs, or project length/complexity. + Assist in product development and testing new products to ensure they meet test standards for UL and ETL. + Utilize safety systems, including Lock/Tag/Verify, permitting, and behavior-based safety programs. + Utilize SolidWorks to generate drawings using fundamental GD&T practices to communicate the technical requirements of machined parts being designed for manufacturing equipment. **Qualifications Required** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) Required + 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, Including process improvement and capital project management.
