Participate in the review of project scope with managers and project leads, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project goals. Review and manage document control, including maintaining versioning controls and reviewing deliverables for accuracy prior to submission. Attend project reviews with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment with project objectives. You will also have opportunities to perform other duties outside of your core responsibilities, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. The Specifics of the Role Create power plans, grounding plans, lighting plans, single line diagrams, and panel schedules. Produce electrical load studies and utility service size estimates. Create conceptual and detailed designs involving Solar PV and BESS. Develop interconnection diagrams illustrating energy generation and distribution for standalone, grid-connected, and hybrid PV systems. Work with CAD designers to produce solar PV site layouts. Produce calculations for string sizing and inverter sizing. Support the Pre-Construction team with estimating, specification, & selection of Solar PV and BESS. Create PVsyst energy generation models and run simulations for predicted energy production. Provide engineering support to designers throughout the BIM modeling process. Check all designs prepared by internal design team and subcontractors for quality and accuracy. Prepare project scopes of work, electrical specifications, and reports. Consult with vendors and reviews project shop drawings for design accuracy and contract requirements. Provide technical support throughout complete project life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, construction, start-up, and commissioning. Participate and present engineering work at client meetings both in-person and virtually. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years of applicable experience preferred. P.E. License with the ability to obtain licenses in multiple states. Working knowledge of National Electrical Code and applicable Building Codes. Working knowledge of engineering analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or Easy-Power. Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction industry with a focus on renewable energy systems. Proficiency in PVsyst or similar solar design software. High level of expertise with EV charging networks, Solar PV, BESS, & microgrid design. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.
